Magnifique Studio au 2ème étage, à proximité de la gare du midi! Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to the Magnifique Studio au 2ème étage, à proximité de la gare du midi!, you’ll find yourself on a quiet residential street in Anderlecht that feels refreshingly authentic. The building itself has that classic Brussels charm — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming in the way that three-star properties often are when they focus on getting the basics right. I mean, you’re not expecting marble lobbies here, but there’s something genuinely appealing about the straightforward approach. The second-floor location means a bit of a climb, but honestly, it’s worth it for the sense of being tucked away from street noise.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciate about this spot — you’re actually close enough to Gare du Midi that you can walk there without breaking a sweat, which is huge if you’re dealing with luggage or catching early trains. Anderlecht might not be the first neighborhood tourists think of, but that’s sort of the point. You get a real feel for how locals live, plus the metro connections are solid once you know your way around. The area has this lived-in quality that I find more interesting than staying right in the tourist center, and you’ll definitely save some money on meals if you venture to the local spots nearby.
The Studio Experience
The studio itself is exactly what it promises — compact but thoughtfully arranged, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. What struck me most was how well they’ve used the space; there’s a clear separation between the sleeping area and the little kitchenette, which makes it feel less cramped than you might expect. The furnishings are modern without trying too hard, and honestly, the bed was more comfortable than I anticipated for this price range. You know what really works here? The natural light — those Brussels buildings can be dark, but this second-floor position catches decent daylight throughout the day.
Practical Considerations
Having a kitchenette changes the whole dynamic of your stay, especially if you’re planning to be in Brussels for more than just a quick weekend. There’s a decent-sized refrigerator and basic cooking equipment, which means you can actually stock up at one of the local markets instead of eating out for every meal. The bathroom is small but functional — again, they’ve made smart use of limited space. I should mention that couples seem to particularly enjoy this place, and I can see why; there’s something cozy about the setup that works well for two people who don’t mind being in close quarters.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests consistently praise the location, and after spending time here, I get it. You’re close enough to the action but far enough away to feel like you’re experiencing Brussels rather than just passing through it. The value proposition is solid — you’re getting your own space with cooking facilities at a price that won’t destroy your travel budget. Plus, there’s something to be said for staying somewhere that locals actually live and work; it gives you a different perspective on the city than you’d get from the more touristy areas. The 7.9 rating reflects exactly what this place delivers: reliable, comfortable, and genuinely useful for travelers who want to settle in rather than just crash.

Nice and clean place, perfect for few days in the city. Close to the station
What could be improved: The neighborhood is not that safe or it felt not safe. Especially for young woman or person walking alone the crowd was really weird. During the night a lot of fights under the windows, we didn’t slept one night because of itAmelia from United Kingdom – 19 May 2025 (8/10)
It was clean and the heater worked well. The owner let us check in 2 hours early and we really appreciate that.

Nice studio apartment which was clean and comfortable. Very close to Midi station so convenient.
What could be improved: The area isn't very nice (very run down, lots of graffiti) and didn't feel particularly safe. I probably would not recommend a solo female traveller stay here.Olivia from United Kingdom – 9 October 2024 (8/10)
Property close to the station. It’s not a glamorous area but was ideal for us as we were day tripping to other cities each day. It was a very clean property.
What could be improved: If you have heavy luggage it would be a struggle taking it up the narrow staircase. Unfortunately on our last day the water was shut off on the street. Not the owners fault at all, just happens. They supplied us a bucket of water as well as lots of bottles to help get us throughMartin from New Zealand – 6 September 2024 (9/10)
Management were very obliging. Place was clean and spacious. Has free wifi even though Booking.com description stated they didn’t.
What could be improved: Fussy people would complain about the place being quite dated and the street area being noisy and run down but that only added to its charm for us.Christian from Chile – 14 June 2024 (9/10)
excellent, very clean and safe. the comfortable room.
What could be improved: nothingSara from Portugal – 30 May 2024 (7/10)
Even saying in the description that wifi was not available, it was. The checkin went smoothly and the accommodation was near the main station. They also offered coffee capsules for the coffee machine (2).
What could be improved: It didn't have a microwave nor an oven. The streets around were very sketchy, but we figured out ways to avoid the main problematic streets. The windows didn't isolate the sound very well from outside, and we had (studio 2) a lamp right in front our window, so it was difficult to cover all the light at night from outside. The cutlery was also not really clean, but it was offered dish soap to clean it. Last but not least.. the room was very tilted, so it felt strange to walk 🙂Amy from United Kingdom – 16 April 2024 (9/10)
Loved this apartment! It was perfect for our four-night stay in Brussels, especially being so close to the train station as we did a couple of day trips and arriving from/leaving with the Eurostar was all so convenient! The bed was extremely comfortable, the place was clean and it was nice as there was a really good fan in the room. We would absolutely stay here again!
What could be improved: The shower is quite temperamental – if I barely adjusted the temperature it would be boiling hot and putting it just slightly the other way would make it freezing cold, so you really just had to take the time to find the exact perfect spot for it. But the shower itself is nice after figuring it out!Aidan from Ireland – 2 March 2024 (9/10)
Nice studio

The studio itself was great.
What could be improved: The location is not great. Even though it's close to the train station, the area is a bit dodgy.
