Les Chambres de Martin Overview
You know what, I’ve got to say, Les Chambres de Martin in Brussels was a real gem. Tucked away on Grote Zavel 38, just a stone’s throw from the Grand Place, it’s got this cozy, boutique vibe that feels like a home away from home. Honestly, the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, welcoming atmosphere – it’s one of those places where you can just instantly relax.
The 4-star rating is well-deserved; everything from the attentive staff to the spotless rooms screams quality. I mean, the rooms are so quiet, you’d hardly believe you’re in the heart of Brussels. The location is stellar, too – you can easily walk to the Manneken Pis, a must-see when you’re in town. And if you’re a foodie, you’re in for a treat; the hotel is just around the corner from the famous Belgian waffles on Rue de la Tête d’Or.
What makes Les Chambres de Martin stand out, though, is the personal touch. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful; they really go the extra mile to make your stay special. The check-in was a breeze, and they even gave me insider tips on where to find the best local beers – which, by the way, were fantastic. The rooms are spacious, with these huge windows that let in so much light, and the beds are just heavenly. You’ll sleep like a baby here.
So, why should you care? Well, if you’re looking for a place that feels like a boutique hotel but has the heart of a B&B, this is it. The rating of 8.8 is spot on; it’s not perfect, but it’s close enough to make your stay in Brussels truly memorable. The location is unbeatable, the service is top-notch, and the rooms are just lovely. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back, and that’s saying something.

Lovely place to stay, close to the attractions

Great position. Room full of character , spacious and comfortable. Won’t suit everyone. 70 + steps up to the room- very steep. No proper shower, just a handheld nozzle over the bath with a pitched roof above. No door to the two single bed area. Nice view from windows

The hotel is perfectly located in the beautiful Sablon, which is just a short walk to the Grand Place as well as the central station. The rooms area wonderful with beautiful exposed beams.
Rebekah from Netherlands (9/10)
Beautiful room with a beautiful view. Everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a small refrigerator and microwave plus tea and coffee. Very nicely decorated.
Charlotte from United Kingdom (9/10)
The location is amazing, within walking distance of everything in the historic centre. The bed is large and comfortable, tea and coffee (plus a microwave) were provided. The shower has good water pressure, and the building felt secure/safe with multiple key codes required to get in. The ability to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out was a huge bonus for us (you can drop off/collect through the restaurant before/after codes work). When we asked if we could check in early, we received a prompt and professional response, and codes were provided well ahead of time.

Excellent, stylish room, outstanding location, great restaurant at the bottom of the building. Lovely views, very traditional European expericence: at the top of 3 flights of steep stairs, exposed wooden beams in the rooms. It seemed like it was in the roof space of a very old building: great design, it was really charming. Highly recommended.
