There are some great local cafés around here that tourists rarely find, and the morning walk to the city center takes you through neighborhoods where actual Brusselois live and work. Couples seem to really appreciate this area (the hotel mentioned they get high ratings from pairs), and I can see why — it feels more intimate than staying right in the tourist zone.

The Room Experience

My room was comfortable without being fancy, which matched my expectations perfectly for a three-star place. The historic elements are still there — you’ll notice things like original moldings and windows that have clearly seen decades of Brussels weather. The WiFi actually works well (thank goodness, because hotel internet can be hit or miss), and the comfort level is solid. You know what I appreciated most? The attention to practical details — good lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and blackout curtains that actually block the morning light.

Here’s where this place really shines: they have free private parking on-site. If you’ve ever tried to park in central Brussels, you’ll understand why this is basically gold. I mean, finding a spot in this city can be a nightmare, and paying for hotel parking usually costs a fortune. The fact that it’s included and right there makes exploring by car so much easier — you can actually drive to places like Bruges or Ghent for day trips without worrying about your car. Recent guests have been rating the location really highly (I heard it’s around 8.8), and honestly, having that parking security is probably a big part of why.

  What could be improved: Serieus gebrek aan hygiëne. Het appartement was niet gepoetst. Vuilnis vorige huurders stond er nog. Vuile kranen met zeepresten in toilet en badkamer. Opgedroogde urine op de toiletrand. Vuile vaatdoeken in de keuken. Geen verse lakens. Lange haren in het bed, bloedvlekken en schminkvlekken van 30cm op 30cm op het bedovertrek. Bij het contacteren van de verhuurder hechte men geen geloof aan de opmerkingen, wou de moeite niet doen langs te komen, laat staan verse lakens te brengen. Huur dit niet!! Heb meerdere foto's van het onhygiënische appartement maar te weinig plaats om ze up te loaden.

  I like how big the apartment was, it was much bigger than expected. I also like how quiet the area was at night, it almost felt sinister in a good way. The flat is near major markets and metro/bus stations so transporting around the city was not an issue at all

  The apartment is located in a semi-central area, very modern, and close to two metro stations. The house is cozy, well-furnished, and equipped with all the necessary utensils.
  
  What could be improved: The only downside was the poor cleanliness. There were hairs in the bathroom, the extra pillows available were dirty and lacked pillowcases, and the bed provided on the sofa was just the sofa without sheets.
