Hotel L’auberge Du Souverain Overview
You know what, stepping into Hotel L’auberge Du Souverain was a breath of fresh air. Tucked away on Avenue De La Fauconnerie, just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of Brussels, this 3-star hotel feels like a cozy retreat. Honestly, the rating of 7.3 doesn’t do it justice; it’s got a certain charm that’s hard to quantify.
Right off the bat, the friendly staff at check-in made me feel right at home. The lobby’s warm lighting and plush seating areas set a welcoming tone. What struck me was the attention to detail – the artwork on the walls, the fresh flowers, even the soft background music. It’s the little things that make a difference, you know? The rooms are comfortable, with a decent view of the neighborhood. You can hear the occasional car passing by, but it’s not too disruptive, especially considering you’re not in the heart of the city.
What makes this place special is its location. It’s close to the Bosvoorde Forest, which is a local favorite for a quiet walk or a bike ride. The address, 1170 Brussels, might not mean much to you, but trust me, it’s in a great spot. It’s a bit quieter than the city center, but you’re still within reach of all the main attractions. The parking is a breeze, and the check-in process is smooth and quick.
So, if you’re looking for a place that feels a bit more personal, where you can unwind after a day of exploring Brussels, Hotel L’auberge Du Souverain is a solid choice. It’s not flashy, but it’s got a homey vibe that’s hard to find in the bigger hotels. The staff are genuinely warm, and the location is perfect for those who want to experience Brussels without the constant noise of the city. It’s a gem, honestly, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet while still being close to the action.

Staff spoke english & was very kind

This is an unusual place because it's not really a hotel – it's a bed & breakfast above an Indian restaurant. The room we stayed in was a family room and was fine – clean and just about enough space, although the bathroom was a bit cramped. And having our family cat was no problem. The decor was a little tired and old-fashiioned and the staircase to the upper floors where the rooms are was narrow and winding. Also, instead of wallpaper, they were lined with carpet – most peculiar. The restaurant, by the way was very good and authentic, so long as you like a spicy curry – if a little over-priced (compared to another Indian restaurant we visited right in the centre of Brussels). Also the decor there was verging on the spetacular. And the staff – I think all members of the same family – were very friendly and helpful

I like how accommodating the staff are, the room is warm and clean.
Sian from Spain (7/10)
As a single guest I was pleased to be given a colirguk, comfortable double-bedroom with new shower room, large windows opening onto the front terrace. Excellent value for money. Location is great in front of a small lake and 5 minutes from the woods and the pretty village of Boitsfort. Well connected too next to bus and tram stop to town.
Breakfast was limited but reasonably priced.Andrew from Luxembourg (7/10)
Location, I had a work obligation in Uccle, so the apartment was easy to get to my client. Very pretty area of Brussels.

value for money is good, free on site private parking (right in front of the hotel), breakfast available (at decent extra cost) was good, staff are very friendly and helpful (you can feel they want to make your stay pleasant), bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom more modern than the room and clean, overall good stay

Hotel is located in a very nice green area of Brussels with good public transport to the Centre (tram and metro 5). Staff (owners) were very nice and helpful. Room and bathroom were very clean, and although the furniture are a bit old, the bed has very good mattress. I stayed in a Junior suite.
