It’s tucked into this lovely residential area where you’ll hear more French and Flemish conversations than English, and that immediately tells you something about the neighborhood.

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the chaos to actually sleep well. The Grand Place is maybe a 10-minute walk, but you know what’s even better? There’s this fantastic little bakery two blocks away where locals line up every morning for their bread. You’ll also find yourself just a few streets from some genuinely good restaurants that haven’t been discovered by every travel blog yet. The area feels authentically Brussels, if that makes sense.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup here is what really sets Sweett apart from your typical hotel experience. Each unit feels more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed place than a sterile hotel room. The kitchen is actually functional — I’m talking full-size appliances, proper cookware, the works. Honestly, after eating out for several days straight, being able to make coffee exactly how I like it and grab some groceries from the nearby market was perfect. The design leans modern but warm, with enough character to feel interesting without being fussy.

Practical Comforts

What surprised me most was how quiet everything stays, even though you’re in the city center. The windows do their job well, and the beds are actually comfortable — not just hotel-marketing comfortable, but genuinely good sleep comfortable. The Wi-Fi works reliably (always a concern when you need to get things done), and there’s decent parking nearby if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car much in this part of Brussels. The whole setup just works without any of those little annoyances that can make or break a stay.

I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something romantic about having your own little Brussels pied-à-terre, complete with morning coffee in an actual kitchen and evening wine on a proper sofa.   The location was great – a 10 minute walk to the main square, and maybe 15 to the main shopping street. There's also a nice boulangerie right around the corner. The neighborhood felt safe, and getting in and out of the apartment was very easy.
  The apartment itself was very clean and had all the amenities we could possibly need.
  
  What could be improved: Many people mentioned the issue with the bathroom in their reviews, and it's not been fixed yet. The water from the shower spreads to the corners of the bathroom, and a huge chunk of the wall is damaged by mold. The smell was so strong we had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times. There was also an issue with the sink from the first day – it drained extremely slowly.

  Very good location in relation to the main city centre and Midi-Zuid train station. Excellent patisserie located on the corner, which I highly recommend. Apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything you could need. WIFI was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and responded quickly when contacted.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom was extremely small, to the point where it’s tough to sit down without hitting your knees and/or head. The showers rubber tray was broken, so the bathroom floor flooded when showering, I actually think a door or curtain would be better, as the tray wouldn’t make much difference even if it was not broken.
