Midi Station 2 Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Midi Station 2, you immediately get that this four-star hotel knows its audience — it’s sleek without trying too hard, and there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup. The lobby has this modern European vibe that feels polished but not stuffy, which honestly sets the tone perfectly for what Brussels is all about. I mean, you’re literally in Anderlecht, which might not sound glamorous, but trust me on this one — the location is actually brilliant for getting around the city.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about staying at Midi Station 2 — you’re practically on top of one of Brussels’ major transport hubs, which means you can hop on trains to pretty much anywhere in Europe without the hassle of crossing the entire city first. The Gare du Midi is right there, and while some people might worry about staying near a train station, this area has really transformed over the past few years. You’ve got easy access to the city center, but you’re also perfectly positioned if you want to take day trips to Antwerp or even Paris (the Thalys connection is incredibly convenient). Recent guests have been rating the location at 8.3, and I can see why — it’s that sweet spot between accessibility and authenticity.
The Room Experience
The rooms at Midi Station 2 strike this nice balance between contemporary design and actual comfort — you know how some hotels go overboard with the minimalist thing and forget you actually need places to put your stuff? Not here. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are well-designed without being flashy. What really impressed me was the attention to soundproofing — despite being near a major station, you’re not dealing with constant noise, which shows they’ve thought about the practical stuff that matters when you’re trying to sleep.
The Neighborhood Vibe
Anderlecht might not be the first district tourists think of, but that’s actually part of its charm — you get a more authentic slice of Brussels life here. There are some excellent local restaurants within walking distance (the North African and Middle Eastern food scene around here is fantastic), and you’re close enough to the tourist spots without being surrounded by them 24/7. I noticed couples seem to particularly appreciate this hotel, probably because it offers that nice mix of romance and practicality — you can easily get to the Grand Place or the Royal Museums, but you also have quieter streets to wander when you want to escape the crowds.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to Midi Station 2 is that it delivers on the fundamentals without any unnecessary fuss. The staff actually knows the area and can give you solid recommendations, the four-star amenities feel genuine rather than just checking boxes, and the whole experience feels more personal than what you’d get at the big chain hotels in the city center. Plus, let’s be honest — the value proposition is strong here. You’re getting quality accommodation with excellent transport links at a price point that won’t make you wince every time you check your credit card statement.
Apartments in Brussels suit families with full kitchens, quiet Sablon side streets, and evening strolls through the Parc de Bruxelles.

Výborný byl bezkontaktní check in.
Sara from Italy – 4 May 2025 (9/10)
Roberta from Italy – 26 April 2025 (8/10)

Consigliato!
