Large charming duplex Brussels Historical Center Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Large charming duplex Brussels Historical Center, you immediately get that “wow, I’m staying somewhere special” feeling. This three-star property sits right in the heart of Brussels — and I mean literally in the center of everything that matters. The duplex setup gives you way more space than your typical hotel room, which honestly feels like a small miracle when you’re used to cramped European accommodations. The moment you arrive, you’ll notice the attention to detail throughout the property.
The Space Itself
What really sets this place apart is the layout — you’ve got two levels to spread out, which makes it feel more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel. The historical building has character in spades, with those thick walls and period details you can’t fake in newer constructions. I mean, you’re literally sleeping in Brussels history here. The duplex design means couples get that perfect balance of togetherness and space to breathe, which probably explains why it scores so well with romantic getaways. Every corner reflects the building’s rich heritage.
Location Perfection
Here’s the thing about the location — it genuinely doesn’t get better than this. That perfect 10.0 location score isn’t just marketing fluff; you can walk to Grand Place in minutes, stumble back from the best beer bars without needing transport, and actually feel like you’re living in Brussels rather than just visiting it. You know those moments when you step outside and immediately know you picked the right place? That’s what happens here every single morning. The neighborhood offers endless exploration opportunities.
The Brussels Experience
Being in the historical center means you’re surrounded by the real Brussels — not some touristy bubble, but the actual city where locals grab their morning coffee and evening drinks. The cobblestone streets are right outside your door, and honestly, the whole area comes alive differently depending on the time of day. Mornings are quiet and atmospheric, evenings buzz with energy from nearby cafes and restaurant terraces. It’s that perfect sweet spot where you feel connected to the city’s rhythm. You’ll discover hidden gems around every corner.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back (and rating it so highly) is how this place nails the fundamentals without trying too hard. The duplex gives you actual living space, the location puts everything within walking distance, and the historical setting makes every moment feel a bit more special than usual. Couples especially seem to love having their own little Brussels hideaway — somewhere they can retreat to between exploring, but never feel disconnected from the city’s energy. It’s that rare find where the charm feels authentic rather than manufactured, and where you actually want to spend time in your apartment rather than just crash there at night. This property truly captures the essence of Brussels hospitality.

Huge living room and very spacious !

Excellent location. Large living area.
Callum from United Kingdom – 13 September 2024 (8/10)
Location was excellent, lovely spacious living room, ease of checking in and checking out. Responsiveness from the owner when there wasn't enough towels.
What could be improved: Only one toilet and if you were sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room you had to go down sleep stairs to go to the toilet in the night. No lock on the toilet or bathroom. But these weren't major issuesLaura from Italy – 19 August 2024 (9/10)
the host explained very well the location of the keys
What could be improved: the entrance in the house a bit hiddenDavid from United Kingdom – 21 July 2024 (8/10)
The location of the apartment was great. It is in an interesting area surrounded with decent restaurants and bars and was quiet at night. It is situated a short walk from the Grand Place and is served by two metro stations, neither of which is more than ten minutes walk away. The living/dining space is huge and extremely comfortable to relax in.
What could be improved: A little bit of caution is required with the stairs up to the apartment and the also up to the living room as they are steep. If you are reasonably fit and with decent mobility they are not a problem to navigate but use of the handrail is advised. We also encountered a problem altering the temperature of the water in the shower, which was a little to hot, but that may have been our ignorance over the use of the controls.Celloroni from United Kingdom – 15 April 2024 (9/10)
The apartment is in a fantastic location, surrounded by nice cafes and restaurants on a leafy little square.
The bedrooms are comfortable, the shower (once we figured it out) and the 2 sinks work very well, with plenty of shampoo and soap.
The living room is enormous, so the sofa bed didn't disturb us during our 4 day stay, we enjoyed spending time relaxing on the comfortable armchairs, listening to the wide collection of CDs and eating round the large table.
Pierre was helpful in giving us extra kitchen towels and keys when we asked for them.
What could be improved: It is surprising that with up to 6 people staying, there is no lock on the bathroom or the toilet door.
The 2 flights of stairs need to be attempted carefully, they are charmingly uneven.
The bedrooms could do with a little more shelf space, especially for a 4-day stay.Elton from Albania – 14 February 2024 (9/10)
The property was spacious and perfectly located in the center of the city. Pierre helped us with all our requests. Highly recommended!
Thertchanakun from Thailand – 21 April 2023 (9/10)
Various rooms to use in the property were good especially when planned to cook some meals. The kitchen and dining rooms were probably the best part of the property. Also, there was a stereo with a selection of CDs for good classical music.
What could be improved: Access was a bit tricky but manageable. No elevator was available but the apartment was on a floor above a ground floor.Grfredy from Greece – 7 February 2023 (9/10)
Great location, spacious, quiet, perfect for a medium group. The instructions from the host were pretty detailed. The apartment was clean.
What could be improved: I would like to see a couple of extra towels, bed sheets and blankets. The latter for more convenient sleeping on the double beds and the couch.Sacha from Spain – 19 September 2022 (9/10)
Beautiful apartment with a very nice living room. The apartment was centrally located and yet quiet, which was great to get some rest. The apartment is well equipped and even viable for longer stays. Also great to travel as a family since it offers two separate rooms (one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds), a kitchen, dining table and a large living room area for kids and parents to watch TV, read, play, etc.
What could be improved: Despite the stay being good, we sometimes noticed a small lack of attention to detail in the way the apartment was cleaned (again, it was clean overall) and some minor imperfections around the apartment to be expected of that kind of older buildings. Other than that, the two most noteworthy things to know before booking are: the stairs are narrow and steep, such that it would not be very well suited for people with mobility issues, and there seems to be a building in front with an automatic on/off light system that can sometimes be a bit annoying at night.
