Hotel Louise Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Hotel Louise on one of Brussels’ most prestigious avenues, you immediately get that this is a three-star place that punches above its weight. The building itself has that classic European charm — not flashy, but there’s something reassuring about the way it sits confidently among the upscale boutiques and cafes that line Avenue Louise. When you’re staying at address 212 on this street, you know you’re in the heart of things. The location offers immediate access to some of the city’s most vibrant shopping and dining districts.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what makes this location special — you’re actually in Ixelles, which locals know is where the real action happens. Avenue Louise isn’t just some tourist trap; it’s where Brusselaires go shopping, grab coffee, and meet friends. You can walk to the Bois de la Cambre in about ten minutes when you need some green space, or head the other direction toward the city center. The tram stops right outside, which makes getting around much easier than dealing with the metro stations. This neighborhood positioning gives guests genuine access to authentic Brussels experiences.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — the kind of space where everything has its place. The windows are tall (typical Brussels style), and if you’re on the avenue side, you get to people-watch from above, which is quite entertaining. The beds are comfortable, and there’s decent storage space, though I wouldn’t call it spacious. What struck me was how quiet it gets at night, despite being on such a busy street. The overall design reflects practical comfort rather than unnecessary amenities.

Practical Perks

The staff here actually seem to know the neighborhood, which makes a difference when you’re asking for recommendations. They pointed me toward this little restaurant around the corner that I never would have found otherwise. There’s no spa or sauna facilities, but honestly, you’re not staying here for resort amenities — you’re here because the location is unbeatable. The breakfast setup is straightforward and efficient, getting you fueled before you head out exploring the city. Parking options are available nearby for guests with vehicles.

Why Guests Love It

There’s something romantic about strolling down Avenue Louise in the evening, ducking into wine bars or just window shopping. You’re close enough to walk to Place Eugène Flagey for dinner, or catch a film at one of the art house cinemas nearby. The hotel itself might not be the star of your Brussels story, but it’s the perfect base camp for discovering what makes this city special. Plus, that 8.4 rating reflects how this place delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. Hotel Louise succeeds by focusing on what matters most to its guests.

Reviews of Hotel Louise

  • Arthur from Liberia – 3 June 2025 (9/10)

    Very clean room

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Bliss from India – 1 June 2025 (8/10)

The cleanliness was spot on. The sheets and towels were always new and not worn out.

What could be improved: The cleaning crew comes too early. One time I had to ask them to give me few minutes as I was still getting ready to go out. The next day they came even earlier than the previous day, at 9:45 am. I said not now. And they never came back later.

  • Mary from Italy – 27 May 2025 (9/10)

The staff at the reception on my arrival were exceptionally kind. I had been robbed and they did their best to help me. Thanks

What could be improved: cleanliness could be better in room

  • Granville from United Kingdom – 11 May 2025 (8/10)

Rooms were large, clean and comfortable.

What could be improved: Breakfast was a little disappointing.Hot dishes not replenished

  • Antonio from Portugal – 23 April 2025 (8/10)

Overall, the room is very good for the price.

What could be improved: 1) the check in time, only at 4PM. In my case I just had travelled from a long flight, andI stayed more than 7 hours in the lobby. They did not manage to prepare exceptionaly the room annd I onlycould check in after 4:30 PM. Very unpleasant.

  • Debra from United Kingdom – 20 April 2025 (9/10)

The location was excellent, it was in a lovely neighbourhood for cafes, bars and restaurants and a short tram ride from the centre of Brussels. Also a short journey to the Brussels Midi station for Eurostar, very handy.

What could be improved: We didn’t like the coffee at breakfast but that was just a very small thing, otherwise the hotel was lovely, a spacious room with a huge window, great shower and spotlessly clean and comfortable.

  • Ivan from Slovakia – 19 April 2025 (9/10)

    Clean

  • Libor from Czech Republic – 15 April 2025 (8/10)

Located near the tram and breakfast was tasty.

  • Michel from Belgium – 6 April 2025 (8/10)

    Location nice staff
    Clean. Good bed

  • Manchanda from United Kingdom – 2 April 2025 (9/10)

My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The TV and hairdryer all worked. The hand towel hanger in the bathroom kept falling off the wall and the card holder for the lights was a bit broken but these were minor points. I did not like the breakfast much but it was ok.
