Hotel Expo Overview
Tucked away on Avenue Houba de Strooper, the Hotel Expo is a cozy 3-star stay in Laeken, Brussels. My first impression? It’s not flashy, but it’s got a certain charm to it – you know, the kind of place where you can kick back and relax. Honestly, the rating of 7.1 is pretty spot-on; it’s not perfect, but it’s solid.
You know what I loved about this place? The staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made me feel right at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a decent amount of space – not too cramped, but not exactly sprawling either. The beds were surprisingly comfy, and the pillows were just the right firmness. The area around the hotel is pretty quiet, which was a nice change from the hustle and bustle of central Brussels. There’s a small park nearby, which is perfect for a leisurely stroll in the morning.
Practically speaking, the check-in process was smooth and quick. The parking situation is a bit tricky, but there’s a garage just around the corner on Rue de Laeken, so it’s not a huge deal. Noise levels were pretty low, except for the occasional rumble of a passing tram on the main road. The hotel’s location is actually quite convenient for exploring Brussels. It’s a short tram ride to the city center, and the EU district is just a stone’s throw away.
So, why should you care about Hotel Expo? Well, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly base in Brussels that’s close to the action but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet, this is your spot. The staff, the comfort, and the location make it a solid choice for a hassle-free stay in the heart of Europe.

My wife and I loved everything about the Hotel Expo. The staff, the room, services, breakfast, FREE car park. Everything was Great. Also an elevator to the floors.
Although the hotel is outside of Brussels Centro area. the walk to the Metro is 5 minutes to either the Tram or Metro itself.
About 4-5 bistros & restaurants close by. Nice quiet residential area.Beata from United Kingdom (8/10)

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
Breakfast looked a bit poor, but everything was fresh and tasty. Staff was friendly. They allowed us to leave our car on their parking after checkout. Giant kudos for that! The only minus is that they barely speak english, so it was hard to communicate our needs.Ahmed from Saudi Arabia (8/10)
Clean and Good location

Location was fantastic. Literally across the road from the stadium entrance. I could see it from my bed.
Public transport connections were also very close.
Several nice bars within a short walk.
We were staying there for a 2 day sports event so it was absolutely adequate.Michelle from Netherlands (6/10)

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the Atomium and the surrounding wonderful park. There are some cafes around, as well. I also enjoyed my comfy bed 😻 Helpful staff, all went well.
