There’s free private parking on site, which honestly is a game-changer if you’re driving (parking in Brussels can be a nightmare otherwise).

The rooms at Friend House have this cozy, unpretentious vibe that works really well for couples — and apparently I’m not alone in thinking this, since couples consistently rate their stays here highly. Everything’s clean and comfortable without trying too hard to be fancy, which I actually prefer in a three-star place. The beds are genuinely comfortable, and you know what, the rooms are quieter than you’d expect given that you’re still in a major city. Small touches like decent lighting for reading and enough outlets for your devices show they’ve thought about what travelers actually need.

Service & Atmosphere

The staff here strikes that perfect balance between being helpful and not hovering — they’re there when you need them but give you space to just be. I noticed they seem to know the neighborhood really well, so if you’re looking for restaurant recommendations or the best way to get somewhere, they’ll steer you right. The whole place has this relaxed, almost residential feel that makes it easy to unwind after a day of sightseeing. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which is refreshing.
