Fast Comfort Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Fast Comfort on Rue Pasteur, you immediately get the sense this four-star hotel knows exactly what it’s doing. The name might sound a bit corporate at first, but honestly, it’s refreshingly honest — this place delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. The entrance has that clean, modern European hotel vibe that puts you at ease right away, and the staff actually seem genuinely pleased to see you arrive.
Location & Neighborhood
Anderlecht isn’t the first Brussels district most tourists think of, but that’s actually part of what makes Fast Comfort such a smart choice. You’re still firmly within Brussels proper — this is the real city, not some suburban outpost — but you get to experience a more authentic slice of Belgian life. The metro connections are solid, so getting to Grand Place or the European Quarter is straightforward. What I really appreciated was how couples seem to gravitate toward this area; there’s something about the quieter streets and local cafés that creates a more intimate Brussels experience than you’d get in the tourist-heavy center.
The Rooms
The accommodations strike that perfect balance between contemporary comfort and European practicality. My room was genuinely spacious by Brussels standards — and I mean that, because hotel rooms here can be notoriously compact. The design feels thoughtfully planned rather than just thrown together, with good lighting for actually reading and enough outlets placed where you’d logically want them. The bathroom was modern and well-appointed, though nothing flashy. You know what impressed me most? The soundproofing actually works, which isn’t always a given in urban hotels.
Service & Amenities
The service here feels refreshingly straightforward — professional without being stuffy, helpful without hovering. The front desk staff know their neighborhood well and can point you toward excellent local restaurants that aren’t in every guidebook. The hotel’s amenities cover all the essentials without trying to be everything to everyone. There’s reliable WiFi throughout, a decent breakfast setup, and those little touches that matter when you’re traveling — like having someone available who can actually help with directions or restaurant recommendations rather than just handing you a generic city map.
Why Guests Love It
Fast Comfort has earned its strong 8.2 rating by consistently delivering on its promises rather than overpromising and underdelivering. Recent guests consistently praise the location, and after staying there, I understand why — you get the best of both worlds with authentic Brussels neighborhood life and easy access to major attractions. The hotel particularly appeals to couples looking for a more refined, quieter base than the bustling city center offers. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in Brussels rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.
Brussels’ hotels wrap guests in Grand Place views, cosmopolitan calm, and concierge tips for hidden chocolate ateliers.

Reviews of Fast Comfort
Nara from Ireland – 13 January 2025 (6/10)
The apartment is beautiful, clean, and organized. It has everything you need. Everything was thoughtfully prepared with great care to make the guest feel at home. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you can imagine: microwave, oven, coffee maker, kettle, all kinds of necessary dishes, cutlery, and even scissors. It even has some essential seasonings like sugar, salt, pepper, and oil.
The bathroom has everything you could think of, including a lighted mirror, a hairbrush, feminine hygiene products, air freshener, an iron, an ironing board, hair dryer, and a washer and dryer.
The apartment has a Smart TV with access to YouTube, internet.
The apartment also has a desk with a chair for studying and reading, along with a lamp. I liked the flip-flop as well, the dish towels, food contains, and washing up liquid.
The bed is actually a sofa bed, but for me, it was fine—it was comfortable. The apartment has one heater to warm the entire place, but there’s also a portable heater you can use if you feel cold. I even used it in the bathroom because it snowed on the first day, and it was quite cold.
The South Central Station (Midi Statuon) is just a 7-minute walk from the apartment, which was very helpful. It’s a station with transportation to anywhere in the city, as well as to the airport and even several destinations outside the country.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, I didn’t like the location. I didn’t feel safe. I’m a woman traveling alone, and I found the neighborhood strange. The people in the area didn’t seem very welcoming. Although nothing happened, I just didn’t feel secure. It seems like most of the neighborhood consists of immigrants. I heard languages like Arabic or something similar.
The streets close to the apartment are empty and dark. There are just a few cafés and small Asian supermarkets. If you walk about 10 minutes, you’ll find a busier area with several Arab and Asian shops and businesses.
The apartment is a 30-minute walk from Grand Place, the central area of Brussels. That’s not an issue for me because I enjoy walking, but during the first 20 minutes of walking, I didn’t feel safe, and the streets were dirty.
I also didn’t like the bedding. I noticed that the blankets hadn’t been washed. There was a duvet without a cover, which probably had never been washed either, and two sheets that were okay, they seemed clean. The pillows were also clean. But the bathrobes were also used and not washed. I know this because I could see the sleeve of one of the bathrobes. It was still in the way it had been taken off the body.Gaute from Norway – 12 July 2024 (9/10)
Excellent service for the type of place. I received a message on Whatsapp the day before with suggestions on how to reach the apartment from the airport. Soufiane was very accommodating for both check-in and check-out.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well I felt at this property. The host is very friendly and kind, the studio has all imaginable facilities. There are small neighborhood shops in the area or supermarkets within walking distance. I will definitely come back
