Cosy duplex in Brussels Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Cosy duplex in Brussels on Avenue Dr Dejase, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — this isn’t your typical tourist trap hotel. The building sits quietly in Schaarbeek, and honestly, I love how it feels more like staying at a friend’s place than checking into some sterile chain property. This three-star spot has character, and you can tell from the moment you step inside that someone actually cares about the details.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I really appreciate about this location — you’re in Brussels but not drowning in crowds of tourists taking selfies every five minutes. Schaarbeek has this authentic Belgian vibe that feels refreshingly real. The area around Avenue Dr Dejase is residential enough to give you a sense of how locals actually live, but you’re still well-connected to the city center. I mean, couples consistently rate this location 8.7 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. There’s something about being slightly off the beaten path that just works.

The Duplex Experience

The duplex setup is honestly brilliant — you get way more space than you’d expect from a typical hotel room. Having that extra level makes it feel like you’re renting a proper apartment rather than just crashing somewhere for the night. The layout actually gives you room to spread out and settle in, which is perfect if you’re staying more than just a night or two. You know what really impressed me? The attention to making it feel homey without sacrificing the essentials you need as a traveler.

What Makes It Work

The 9.2 rating isn’t just a number — you feel it in the small things. The place is genuinely cozy (not just marketing speak), and there’s this comfortable, lived-in quality that makes you want to actually relax instead of just passing through. Recent guests keep highlighting the location, and I think it’s because you get the best of both worlds here. You’re close enough to hop into central Brussels when you want the full tourist experience, but far enough away to escape back to something that feels more authentic.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it nails that sweet spot between comfort and character. It’s not trying to be fancy or impress you with over-the-top amenities — instead, it just does the basics really, really well. The duplex format gives you space to breathe, the neighborhood gives you a taste of real Brussels life, and the whole experience feels refreshingly genuine. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about having your own little Brussels hideaway that doesn’t feel like every other hotel room you’ve ever stayed in.

Very nice, new and clean apartment. The contact went very quick and smooth.

What could be improved: It’s on the third floor, but not a problem for us. Inside there’s a bit of wobbly stair to the attic bedroom, but also this is not a problem if you’re just a little careful.
