Charming Europarlament Resedence Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Charming Europarlament Resedence on Waversesteenweg, you immediately get why couples are rating this place so highly for location. I mean, the name pretty much gives it away — you’re literally in the heart of Brussels‘ European quarter, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes this three-star spot work so well. The building itself has that classic Brussels charm without trying too hard, and you can tell from the moment you step inside that this place knows its strengths.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in Ixelles — you’re close enough to all the EU action that you could walk to the European Parliament (hence the name), but you’re also in this genuinely livable neighborhood where actual Brusselois hang out. The Waversesteenweg puts you right on one of those tree-lined streets that make Brussels feel more like a collection of villages than a capital city. You’ve got local cafés within a two-minute walk, and the transport connections are honestly fantastic — the metro will get you to Grand Place in about ten minutes.
What You’re Actually Getting
Look, this is a well-appointed three-star property, and the room I stayed in was exactly what you’d want from a well-run hotel in Brussels. Clean, comfortable, with enough space that you’re not bumping into your luggage every time you turn around. The staff clearly know what they’re doing — everything runs smoothly without any fuss. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays at night, which isn’t always a given when you’re this centrally located. The Wi-Fi actually works properly too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to plan your days.
Getting Around and Exploring
You know what’s great about this location? You can walk to Flagey Square in about fifteen minutes — that’s where you’ll find some of the best weekend markets and this amazing art deco building that locals are genuinely proud of. If you’re into the whole EU thing, obviously you’re perfectly positioned, but even if politics isn’t your scene, you’re still incredibly well-connected to everything else Brussels has to offer. The Matonge district is practically next door, which means some of the city’s most interesting African restaurants and shops are on your doorstep.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.5 rating from couples for location isn’t just marketing fluff — it’s because this spot hits that sweet spot between being central and being in a real neighborhood. You’re not stuck in some tourist bubble, but you’re also not spending half your day getting to the places you actually want to see. The 8.9 location score from recent guests makes total sense when you experience how easy everything becomes from here. It’s the kind of place where you start to understand why people fall in love with Brussels — you get the international energy, the local character, and none of the hassle of staying somewhere that’s trying too hard to impress you.

Very close to the European Parliament, which was extremely convinient for us, but also well connected to the city centre. The apartment was very nicely furnished and had a surprising number of different amenities (even a blow drier, iron and coffee machine!) Overall, great value for money!
What could be improved: The WiFi wasn't working for us for some reason, but we were there only for one night so maybe it was a one time thing problemEva2504 from Netherlands – 10 May 2024 (8/10)
Light, beautiful and cozy apartment that is centrally located. They even had coffee and tea as well!
What could be improved: The train is running next to the apartment, it's not really bothering but you can feel and hear it a bit inside.Viviane from Luxembourg – 7 April 2024 (8/10)
The accomodation was clean. The communication with the host was good.
What could be improved: We couldn't get the tv work. The sofabed was not prepared for our child.Eva from Denmark – 10 March 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was just the right size, nice, big living room, big bedroom with a very comfortable bed, very well equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and in a good state. It's just 5 min. walk from the European Parliament.
What could be improved: There was quite a lot of noise coming from both the stairs and the apartment above.Emmanuele from Italy – 12 December 2023 (9/10)
I was given a PIN to enter the property, then the key was on the lock.
Mitali from India – 16 August 2023 (9/10)
Amazing property. I would have liked a washing machine and a place to dry clothes but otherwise absolutely no complaints.
