Bruxelles Midi Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Bruxelles Midi, you’ll notice it’s not trying to be something it’s not — and honestly, that’s refreshing. This three-star hotel sits quietly in the Forest district, about a 15-minute tram ride from Brussels’ historic center. The building has that understated European charm where function meets comfort without any unnecessary frills. I mean, sometimes you just want a solid place to sleep without paying for marble lobbies you’ll barely use.
Location Perks
Here’s what I actually love about staying in Brussels — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist crowds to breathe a little. The Bruxelles Midi train station (yeah, same name as the hotel) is practically next door, which makes day trips to Antwerp or even Paris surprisingly doable. Forest itself is one of those neighborhoods where locals actually live, so you’ll find proper bakeries and cafés instead of overpriced tourist traps. The tram connections are honestly pretty great — I never waited more than 10 minutes to get into the city center.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. Nothing fancy, but the bed was actually quite good (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom had decent water pressure. You know what impressed me? The soundproofing was better than I expected for a hotel at this price point. Even with the train station nearby, I slept through the night without any issues. The Wi-Fi worked reliably too, which — let’s be honest — isn’t always a given in European hotels.
Practical Considerations
The staff here genuinely seem to care about making your stay work, which goes a long way when you’re dealing with travel hiccups. They helped me figure out the best route to the airport (there are actually two good options) and gave solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t just the usual tourist suggestions. Parking is available if you’re driving, though I’d honestly recommend using public transport instead — Brussels traffic can be a bit of a nightmare, and the tram system really does work well from this location.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place you’ll Instagram obsessively, but it’s the kind of place you’ll actually want to return to. The value is solid — you’re getting reliable comfort without paying premium prices for amenities you might not use. Couples seem particularly drawn to the area (the hotel mentioned they rate the location highly), and I can see why. It feels more authentic than staying right in the tourist zone, but you’re never more than 20 minutes from the Grand Place or the Royal Museums. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just… work well, you know?
Visitors often choose Brussels apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent European capital.

What could be improved: Aunque no se ofrece en el anuncio, por el precio que pagas, deberia incluir cafetera nespresso, microondas, y plancha.Klara from Czech Republic – 21 April 2025 (7/10)
Those who like old-style places – this is it!!! The appartment has a charm! Bu we missed very simple things – knife to cut the bread, more than 2 big coffee cups, coffee machine…. Stuff was not really responsive, but we enjoyed the stay anyway. Location is very nice, it is easy to get around!

Mooie nostalgische sfeer. En prima bedden en voorzieningen.
What could be improved: Het ligt in een omgeving met veel gebruikers. Savonds alleen over straat lijkt me geen goed idee.Patricia from France – 13 February 2025 (8/10)
