Charming duplex on the canal Brussels Overview
First Impressions
When I first spotted Charming duplex on the canal Brussels, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But stepping into this four-star property on Boulevard de Nieuport — well, it immediately made sense. The duplex setup gives you this unexpected sense of having your own little corner of Brussels, and the canal views from the windows actually deliver on that “charming” promise. It’s one of those places where the name isn’t just marketing fluff, you know?
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re genuinely in the heart of Brussels without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist trap. The 8.5 location score isn’t just numbers; when you walk out the door, you’re minutes from the Grand Place but on a quieter street that locals actually use. I mean, being right on the canal means you get those morning walks that make you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The couples who rave about this place get it — there’s something romantic about having canal views without the crowds you’d find at more obvious spots.
The Duplex Experience
The duplex layout is honestly what sets this place apart from your typical hotel room. You’ve got space to actually spread out, and the two-level setup means you can separate your sleeping and living areas — which sounds small but makes a huge difference when you’re staying more than a night or two. The design feels more like borrowing a friend’s well-appointed apartment than checking into a hotel. Everything’s thoughtfully arranged, and you can tell someone put real effort into making the space both functional and comfortable.
Practical Comforts
What I appreciated most were the little details that show this isn’t just a converted space with hotel furniture thrown in. The kitchen area is actually usable — not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. You can grab fresh ingredients from the local markets and prepare something simple, which honestly saves money and gives you a more authentic Brussels experience. The whole setup encourages you to settle in rather than just crash between sightseeing sessions.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.3 rating reflects what you actually experience here — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Brussels, but it delivers exactly what it promises. Couples especially seem to get it because you have privacy, space, and those canal views that make even a simple morning coffee feel special. The location puts you close enough to everything that matters without the noise and chaos of being right on top of the main tourist areas. It’s the kind of place where you might actually extend your stay because leaving feels harder than it should.
The concierge service in Brussels can arrange exclusive chocolate factory tours, secure reservations at Michelin-starred restaurants, and organize personalized visits to the European Parliament and UNESCO World Heritage Grand Place.

It was very nice and comfortable. Felt like being home.
