César Overview
Tucked away on a quiet street in the heart of Brussels, the 3-star César Hotel offers a cozy retreat that’s actually just a stone’s throw from the bustling city center. I remember walking up to the hotel, 29 Rue César Franck, and feeling immediately welcomed by its warm, inviting facade. Honestly, the rating of 8.8 really does justice to the experience you get here.
You know what really stood out to me was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the check-in process a breeze. The rooms, while not overly spacious, were clean and comfortable, with a sort of homey charm that made me feel right at home. The sounds of the city were a pleasant hum in the background, not too loud or intrusive, and the scent of fresh pastries from the nearby bakery wafted through the air in the mornings.
What makes the César Hotel special is its location. It’s sort of an insider secret – not on the main drag, so you avoid the tourist crowds, but close enough to everything that you can easily walk to the Grand Place or the European Parliament. The neighborhood itself is a mix of local charm and international flair, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops that are popular with Brussels locals. I mean, there’s a reason why the hotel has such a high rating.
If you’re looking for a place that feels like a well-kept secret, the César Hotel is it. It’s not the biggest or the most luxurious, but it’s got a certain je ne sais quoi that makes it stand out. The prices are reasonable, the service is top-notch, and the location is unbeatable. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience Brussels like a local, without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

What could be improved: les travaux dans la rue et à l'arrière de al maison

It was a large apartment with lots of charm. Some painting had been done. It had WiFi and was close to many restaurants.
What could be improved: The bathroom had a bath tub with a hand held shower head and the heat was on but it was chilly in the apartment. It was the top floor of the building and the stairs were a little tough on our knees.Di&em from Italy – 16 September 2023 (8/10)
Very friendly host
What could be improved: Bathroom was old and shower difficult without curtainHudson from Luxembourg – 18 July 2023 (8/10)
The apartment is big and you have everything at your disposal: private wc, good wifi connection, spacious wardrobe, kitchen with microwaves, oven, sink, stove, and all the necessary utensils for cooking and serving. The hosts are very kind and helpful as well.
What could be improved: There is no TV in the bedroom and the shower is not fixed to the wall, only with a hose, but these are quite tolerable issues.Ruth from Hungary – 16 May 2023 (4/10)
The price was very good and for me the location near the university was convenient, There is also an ALDI super close by, almost other side of road. The size of the space is good. For a tight budget and a place to lay your head, it's doable because for this price, it is among the most affordable of places of this size, with a separate bedroom, in Brussels.
What could be improved: The condition of the place is run down, it needs renovation or at least a repaint and bit fixing, the bedding and towels are old (but clean), the bathroom was dated, the air was stuffy in the apartment. The kitchen was especially tired. It was very basic and did not feel very clean.Ivan from France – 29 March 2023 (9/10)
simplicité et confort
What could be improved: il manque juste un rideau de douche 😎Estelle from United Kingdom – 12 March 2023 (7/10)
The flat is very spacious, a lot of room for suitcases. The kitchen/living room are also very handy for breakfast in the moring.
What could be improved: The building is a bit old and could do with re-painting in some parts, especially the bathroom which looked quite old.Jacqueline from Belgium – 1 August 2022 (8/10)
Clean and cosy.
What could be improved: Stairs to the second floor were not entirely suitable for my elderly parents, but to be fair the host had flagged this in advance once she knew the agesNicolas from Belgium – 12 July 2022 (8/10)
