Bora Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Bora Apartment on Rue Brogniez, you know what struck me first? This isn’t your typical hotel setup — it’s actually more like staying in someone’s well-appointed city apartment, which honestly makes the whole experience feel less touristy. The building has that solid European charm without being overly fancy, and I mean, for a three-star place, it definitely punches above its weight. You’re in Anderlecht, which might not ring bells for first-time visitors, but trust me on this — it’s one of those neighborhoods that locals appreciate for being real Brussels without the tourist crowds.
The Space Itself
The room setup here is what really sets this place apart from standard hotel boxes. You get proper living space that actually feels livable — not just somewhere to crash between sightseeing marathons. There’s a functional kitchen area that’s genuinely useful if you want to grab groceries from the local markets (and honestly, Belgian supermarkets are kind of fascinating). The whole layout just makes sense for couples, which explains why pairs consistently rate this place so highly. I appreciated having space to spread out without feeling like I was living in a shoebox.
Location Reality Check
Here’s the thing about Anderlecht — it’s not the postcard-pretty center that everyone photographs, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re close enough to hop into central Brussels easily, but you’re also in a neighborhood where people actually live and work. There are proper local cafés where you won’t pay tourist prices, and the metro connections are honestly pretty solid. Recent guests keep mentioning the location as a highlight, and I get it — sometimes you want to experience a city rather than just visit it.
Practical Stuff That Matters
The 8.8 rating isn’t just numbers — you can feel it in the details that actually work. The WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, the shower has decent pressure, and there’s enough parking nearby that you’re not circling blocks if you’ve got a rental car. Small things, but they add up when you’re trying to relax. The whole place feels maintained by someone who actually cares about the guest experience, not just checking boxes on a corporate checklist.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but it’s the kind of spot that just works really well for what it is. Couples especially seem to get it — there’s something about having your own space in a real neighborhood that makes a trip feel more authentic. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or concierge services you probably won’t use anyway. Instead, you’re getting a solid base in Brussels that feels more like temporarily living somewhere than just passing through. For the price point and the genuine local experience, it’s honestly hard to argue with that approach.
Early hotels booking in Brussels is essential during major events like the European Summit meetings, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned chocolate culture and historic architecture.

We were very pleased with our stay! The location is good, just a few minutes from the train station. The room was spacious, clean, and very cozy. It had everything we needed – from an iron and a hairdryer to tea, coffee, and other small essentials that made our stay comfortable. It was warm and felt like home. Big thanks to the hosts for their care and attention to detail! We definitely recommend it!
