Bijou Brussels > Parvis St Pierre Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Bijou Brussels > Parvis St Pierre on Rue Victor Allard, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical chain hotel. The building has that understated Brussels charm — you know, the kind where elegance doesn’t need to shout about itself. It’s tucked into the Uccle neighborhood in a way that feels intentional, like someone actually thought about where to put a hotel rather than just finding the cheapest plot of land.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, Uccle is one of those areas that locals love but tourists often miss — which is exactly why staying here works so well. You’re in a residential part of Brussels that feels authentically Belgian, with tree-lined streets and that relaxed pace you don’t get in the city center. The Parvis St Pierre is just a short walk away, and I mean, there’s something quite lovely about having a proper square nearby where you can grab coffee and watch daily life unfold. Couples seem to really appreciate this spot (they rate the location 8.3), and I get why — it’s romantic without being touristy.
The Property Itself
This three-star place punches above its weight, honestly. The staff here actually responds quickly when you have questions — and I’m talking genuinely fast, not the usual “we’ll get back to you in 24-48 hours” nonsense you get elsewhere. Recent guests have been rating the location 8.8, which tells you something about how well-positioned this place really is. It’s got that boutique hotel feel without the boutique hotel prices, if you know what I mean.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had that clean, modern European style — nothing flashy, but everything you need is there and it actually works. The windows let in good natural light, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to shake off jet lag or just want to feel human after a long day of sightseeing. The beds are comfortable enough that you’ll actually sleep well, and the bathroom setup is practical without being cramped.
Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciated — you can easily reach central Brussels when you want the tourist stuff, but you can also retreat back to this quieter neighborhood when you need a break from all that. The public transport connections work well (this is Brussels, after all), and there’s parking available if you’re driving, which isn’t always a given in this city. Sometimes you want to be in the thick of things, sometimes you want to breathe a little — this location gives you both options.
Dining & Local Life
While the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, you’re surrounded by local spots that actually serve neighborhood folks, not just tourists. There’s a genuine Belgian café culture happening around here — places where you can sit with a beer or coffee for hours and nobody rushes you. I found myself walking to the local bakery in the mornings, which became this nice little routine that made the stay feel less like a hotel experience and more like temporarily living somewhere.
Why It Works
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that matters. The 8.7 rating reflects what you actually experience — solid comfort, helpful service, and a location that gives you the best of both worlds. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel like you’re experiencing a place rather than just visiting it, this spot in Uccle delivers on that promise without making a big deal about it.

The host provided detailed instructions how to get to the apartment by various transport, how to get the keys, which restaurants to visit nearby, what to do in Brussel. All our questions were answered quickly. We enjoyed our stay. There is everything you need in the apartment, even coffee machine. The garden is lovely.
Suzanne from France (9/10)
The host Joanna was very nice, hospitable and helpful. The apartment was cozy, comfortable and clean, with all the amenities you would expect or need. Beds were comfortable with plenty of extra bedsheets and even extra pillows if needed.
It is situated in a calm street, but just near the city centre so you can get around without car just fine and have quite a bit of shopping/restaurant options if that interests you. If you're lucky, a wonderful encounter of the feline kind might even greet you from the garden early in the morning.Janaina from Brazil (9/10)
Well located, lovely apartment, ample space. Plenty of cafes and restaurants close to hand. The owner of the apartment are on hand to sort any issues out.
