Uccle, Pavillon Vert Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Uccle, Pavillon Vert, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this four-star property tucked away on Avenue de la Pinède. The name “Pavillon Vert” — Green Pavilion — makes perfect sense once you see it, though. This place is surrounded by greenery in one of Brussels’ most upscale residential neighborhoods, and it feels more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s house than a typical hotel. The attention to detail throughout the property reflects a commitment to creating an intimate, welcoming atmosphere that sets it apart from larger chain establishments.
The Uccle Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in Uccle — you’re technically in Brussels, but it feels like a completely different world. This southern commune is where well-heeled locals actually live, with tree-lined streets and beautiful Art Nouveau houses that most tourists never see. You can walk to Bois de la Cambre in about ten minutes, which is this gorgeous park that connects to the much larger Sonian Forest. The natural surroundings provide a serene escape while maintaining convenient access to the city’s cultural attractions and dining scene.
The Room Experience
My room had this understated elegance that I really appreciated — no flashy decorations or trying-too-hard design elements. The space felt thoughtfully put together, with quality furnishings and those little touches that matter when you’re settling in for a few days. What struck me most was how quiet everything was, especially at night. After staying in some of Brussels’ busier areas, the peace here was honestly refreshing. Each apartment-style suite offers a comfortable retreat with modern amenities and tasteful décor.
Getting Around and Dining
The tram connections are actually pretty solid — Tram 4 gets you to the city center in about 20 minutes, and there’s something nice about that gentle ride through different neighborhoods. For dinner, you don’t have to venture far. The local restaurant scene in Uccle is quite good, though it’s definitely more about quality neighborhood spots than tourist traps. I found a couple of excellent bistros within walking distance that locals clearly frequent. The area offers authentic Belgian cuisine and international options that cater to diverse palates.
Why Guests Love It
I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something inherently romantic about the setting and the sense of discovery you get staying here. It’s not obvious or touristy, which makes it feel special. The staff seems to understand that guests who choose this location are looking for something different from the typical Brussels hotel experience. Plus, parking is available, which is honestly a huge relief if you’re driving in Brussels. You get that residential neighborhood feel while still being connected to everything the city offers, making it an ideal base for exploring Brussels at a leisurely pace.

Actually nothing
What could be improved: A lot:
– All in all very dirty apartment
– Kitchen equipment abysmal
– Disgusting carpet
– Wifi only in the living room
– Couch and stairs very uncomfortable as well as cheap
– We did not feel safe in the area and flat, among other things because of the unsafe codes of door and gate
– Washing mashine yet not material for it
– Broken furniture
– Uncomfortable beds
– From the flat to the city it will take you around 60-90 minutes (even by public transport), this fact was concealed from usAlejandra from Peru – 7 June 2023 (9/10)
Everything was perfect, the apartment was very comfortable and more spacious than expected, the decoration was very modern and the terrace was perfect to relax after a day of sightseeing. The location is also excellent, close to the center of Brussels and in a very safe area.
David from United Kingdom – 22 January 2023 (9/10)
Beautiful area fairly easy to reach with public transport from Brussels. House is very clean, warm and well presented. A bottle of wine was left we believe from the owner as his name was signed on the bottle lovely touch.
Janejira from France – 19 June 2022 (9/10)
Very quiet location, lovely garden, comfortable, convenient and spacious apartment. Perfect if you have a car and don't mind driving into Brussels from Uccle.
What could be improved: Stairs inside and out. This would not be good for an elderly person or persons with disabilities.
