It’s not the Grand-Place, but that’s kind of the point.

The Terrace

Right, so the terrace — this is the thing that actually sets the place apart. It’s big, genuinely big, not just a couple of chairs squeezed onto a balcony. Whether you’re having a morning coffee or winding down in the evening with something cold, it gives you that breathing room you rarely get in a city stay. I mean, in Brussels where the weather can be unpredictable, having that outdoor space to yourself feels like a small upscale. On a clear evening it’s honestly one of the better spots to just sit and decompress.

The Stay Itself

  It was very clean and nice.

  The flat was in a convenient location to the Atomium which is where we were visiting for an exhibition, easy to drive or walk to. The area around the flat was well serviced with restaurants and takeaways or a supermarket if you wanted to do self catering. The flat was well presented with all the equipment needed for our stay – crockery, utensils, towels, bed linen etc.
  
  What could be improved: To be honest all was good. The flat was clean and comfortable and in a good location – not in Brussels centre but it was easy to get there if needed. The only downside is the lack of parking but this is overcome by parking a bit further out or moving your car around. We weren't impacted by this as parking is free 9pm – 9am and on a Sunday so as we were out all day using the car we were in the free hours.

  Spacious, over two floors- central area with bars/restaurants/shops and easy transport. Beautiful nature area nearby.
  
  What could be improved: Stairs were a bit steep and tight- okay for us but be careful if you have children with you (there are baby gates installed)

  The appartment is located close to supermarket and public transport. The appartment has a good standard and is providing all necessary devices and services.
  
  What could be improved: In some regard the appartment could get some refurb but still good to stay in. We experienced the street as quite busy and loud on weekend evenings as there are a few restaurants and bars in front.

  What could be improved: Up the stairs there is a metal beam which my husband hurt himself on. It would be best to have padding and warning signs on it.

  What could be improved: Maybe tea and coffee would be a help. Steep staors with bags – I need to get fitter.
  It was advertised as very close to the Expo. It took 50 minutes walking across main roads and over rough paths plus a slight incline with baggage to get there. Defintitely a taxi ride, not a walk. Sadly the taxi didn't want to understand my French or English at the taxi stand and said i needed to book one – so sound advice for future travellers.

  Lovely apartment on 2 floors, 10 min. away from Atomium, on a lively street with shops and eating places; next to tram stop, directly connected to downtown!

  What could be improved: Oven, microwave not working or not plugged properly- it did not bother us, since we were mostly outside.
  There could be more things in the kitchen- like a salad bowl, a bigger knife…
