Studio Tintin Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Studio Tintin on Martelaarsplein, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Brussels” feeling. This four-star boutique spot sits right in the heart of Brussels, and I mean literally — you’re surrounded by the kind of cobblestone charm that makes you want to slow down and actually notice things. The building itself has that understated Belgian elegance, nothing flashy, but you can tell there’s thought behind every detail. The entrance welcomes you with refined simplicity that sets the tone for your entire stay.
The Perfect Brussels Base
Honestly, the location is pretty much unbeatable — couples especially seem to get this, rating it 9.9 for romantic getaways, and I totally understand why. You’re a genuine two-minute walk from Grand Place, which means you can pop over for morning coffee or evening drinks without any of that tourist trek nonsense. What I really appreciate is how you’re positioned right where locals actually hang out, not in some sterile hotel district. The Martelaarsplein area has this authentic Brussels vibe where you’ll find yourself chatting with shopkeepers and discovering those little chocolate shops that don’t advertise. This neighborhood positioning makes all the difference in your Brussels experience.
The Room Experience
The room design really captures that Tintin spirit without going overboard with the theme — it’s playful but sophisticated, you know? Everything feels thoughtfully curated, from the comfortable bedding to the way natural light fills the space during the day. I mean, Brussels can be a bit gray sometimes, so having a bright, welcoming space to return to makes a real difference. The attention to detail is what gets me — little touches that show someone actually cares about your experience, not just checking boxes. Each element has been selected to enhance your comfort and enjoyment.
Living Like a Local
What really sets this place apart is how it connects you to the neighborhood rhythm. You’ll find yourself grabbing fresh bread from the bakery around the corner, maybe stopping for a beer at one of those tiny bars where everyone seems to know each other. The staff genuinely knows the area — they’ll point you toward the good stuff, not just the obvious tourist spots. Actually, some of my best Brussels discoveries came from casual conversations in the lobby about where locals actually eat and drink. This insider knowledge transforms your entire visit into something genuinely memorable.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.2 rating really reflects what you experience here — it’s the kind of place that gets Brussels right. You’re not just staying somewhere convenient; you’re positioned to actually experience the city the way it’s meant to be experienced. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend or just want to explore Brussels properly, Studio Tintin gives you that perfect balance of comfort and authenticity. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that feels like a well-kept local secret, even though it’s right in the center of everything. The combination of location, design, and genuine hospitality creates an unforgettable Brussels experience.

Reviews of Studio Tintin

What could be improved: Le sofa pourrait être plus long ou sofa-lit. Maria from Bulgaria – 10 April 2025 (10/10)

Everything! The location of the Studio is perfect — close to the Rue Neuve/Nieuwstraat, Belgium's second busiest shopping street. close to Metro stations ( De Brouckère and Rogier), close to Grande Place and all its attractions, and — what's equally important — close to supermarkets and shops. Mind you: I travelled with a slightly disabled Mum (she still learns how to walk after an accident) — there was neither a problem with the 3. floor, nor with the entresol bedroom. The kitchen is all equipped, the bathroom has all the utensils. The Host is extremely kind, helpful, willing to make your stay as if you were at home. And that's how we felt!

second floor was pretty dangerous to sleep in.
dirty sofa, microwave was covered in food.
there was used pad in the trash.
i don’t like the fact for that price that we were asked to reimburse them when using things like tea and coffee.Kirsi from Finland – 23 March 2025 (8/10)
What could be improved: Ei kertakaikkiaan mitään näkymää, ikkunoista näkyi vain harmaa levy ja vähän taivasta.
Olivier1 from France – 16 March 2025 (10/10)

Joana from Spain – 7 December 2024 (10/10)
The location was literally perfect. About 10 minutes walk from the central station, and everything you'd need is max 15 minutes walk away from you. They welcomed us at the apartment (an actual person), which isn't very common around these apartments anymore. It's a very beautiful apartment, and the host has humor too! Very nice location, the square is nice, yeah, it's just really good.
Psss, small secret. You can get out of the window and sit on the roof. Very nice view, very vibey.
What could be improved: Well I could say that the dishwasher was a little on the smaller side, but that's really it.
