Studio Lilia Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Studio Lilia on Avenue du Panthéon, you’ll notice it’s tucked into a quiet residential street that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos. The building itself is classic Brussels architecture — nothing flashy, but there’s something reassuring about that understated approach. I mean, sometimes you just want a place that does the basics exceptionally well rather than trying to wow you with unnecessary frills.
The Space
This four-star studio apartment sits on the second floor, and honestly, the moment you step inside, you get why it scores so consistently high with guests. The space feels thoughtfully designed — not cramped like some Brussels accommodations can be, but efficiently laid out so everything you need is within reach. The kitchen area is actually functional (I’ve stayed in places where the kitchenette was more decorative than useful), and there’s enough counter space to prepare a proper meal if you’re tired of eating out every night.
Location Perks
Koekelberg might not be the first neighborhood that comes to mind when you think of Brussels, but that’s exactly what makes it work so well. You’re close enough to reach the city center easily, but far enough out that you’ll pay reasonable prices for groceries and coffee. The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is practically on your doorstep — and while it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, the views from up there are pretty spectacular on a clear day.
Why It Actually Works
What strikes me most about Studio Lilia is how it nails the details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The room gets excellent natural light (crucial during those gray Brussels winters), and there’s proper storage space so you’re not living out of a suitcase. The neighborhood has that authentic Brussels feel — you’ll hear French and Flemish being spoken equally, and the local bakery down the street makes croissants that’ll ruin you for the airport versions forever.
Why Guests Love It
The perfect 10 rating isn’t just about the apartment itself — it’s about how the whole experience comes together. Couples especially seem to appreciate the balance of privacy and accessibility (that 8.9 location score makes sense when you experience it firsthand). You get the feeling of living like a local rather than just passing through, which is rare to find in a city that can sometimes feel overwhelmed by tourism. Plus, there’s something to be said for a place that consistently delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Brussels through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich cultural heritage.

Super studio!
