Hotel EUROPACITY Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel EUROPACITY on Rue de Brabant, you get the sense this is a place that knows exactly what it is — a solid three-star hotel that doesn’t try to be anything flashy but delivers where it counts. The building has that classic Brussels character, and honestly, the location in Schaarbeek feels more authentic than staying right in the tourist center. You’re still close enough to everything that matters, but you get to see how locals actually live in Brussels.
The Neighborhood Reality
Schaarbeek isn’t the postcard part of Brussels, and that’s actually what I liked about it. You’ve got real bakeries, corner cafés where people read newspapers, and a genuine neighborhood vibe that you miss when you’re staying near Grand Place. The area has been changing quite a bit — there’s this interesting mix of longtime residents and younger families moving in. It’s about a 15-minute tram ride to the city center, which means you can easily get to all the major sights but come back to somewhere that feels less touristy in the evenings.
What Your Room Gets You
The room I stayed in was clean and functional — nothing fancy, but everything worked properly, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve been. The bed was comfortable enough, and there was decent storage space for a week’s worth of clothes. What I appreciated was that they didn’t try to cram too much into a small space. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, with good water pressure in the shower. You know what? Sometimes you just want a place where you can sleep well and get ready in the morning without any hassles.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast setup is where Hotel EUROPACITY actually impressed me a bit. They do both continental and buffet options, and the quality was better than I expected for a three-star place. Fresh bread (this is Belgium, after all), decent coffee, and they usually had some local touches mixed in with the standard hotel breakfast fare. I mean, it’s not going to change your life, but it’s substantial enough that you can head out for the day without needing to find food immediately. The breakfast room gets good morning light, which makes starting the day feel less institutional.
Why Couples Keep Coming Back
There’s something about this place that works particularly well for couples — maybe it’s the quieter neighborhood setting or the fact that the hotel feels intimate without being cramped. The staff seems to understand that people want to be left alone to enjoy their trip, but they’re helpful when you actually need something. The location gives you options for romantic evening walks through residential streets, and you’re close enough to good restaurants in both Schaarbeek and central Brussels. It’s the kind of place where you can have a genuine experience of living in Brussels for a few days, rather than just visiting it.
Apartments in Brussels provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at neighborhood markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned Belgian culinary traditions.

Reviews of Hotel EUROPACITY
Vadan from United Kingdom – 26 May 2025 (8/10)
Incredibly smooth exit and entry. Literally took less than a minute either way.
Location excellent.
Room was pretty and massive!
Bed was comfy.
TV and Wifi worked.
Complementary Tea Coffee simple but nice.
What could be improved: Only issue was that a fitting in the bathroom was old.
– Panel under the sink came off, could see the pipes. Had to manually place it back.
Also the location was very close pretty areas, but the immediate view for us was in front of a train station so eh.Julia from Germany – 7 May 2025 (7/10)
Perfect located, directly at the station. Cleaned well
What could be improved: Old furniture. Service was not good. I left my passport at the reception while checking. When I checked out personally, no one reminded me or gave it back proactively, so I forgot about it. No friendly email etc to get it back… took me 4 emails to got it sent back to me 🙁Anayte from Finland – 6 May 2025 (8/10)
The staff were very nice and friendly. I was positively surprised by the state of my room on the seventh floor, the size of the bed and and how quiet it got when the windows were closed even though there was the noise of the trains and some construction work nearby. There was a really nice taco place at the top of a hotel six minutes' walk away, and the Brussels North train station is very close.
What could be improved: Based on some other reviews I wasn't entirely sure what to expect of the neigbourhood, and sure yeah it had that big city night in the backyard of the train station energy, but it was nothing unusual. Expect to be ready to throw a middle finger up at some point if you're a woman. An interesting contrast between real big glass wall business/hotel buildings and very small family car washes and everything kiosks etc.Dean from Ukraine – 5 May 2025 (8/10)
Excellent location near the Bruxelles North train station, and the metro station. Large room, and very clean. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Staff are very friendly. About a 20 minute walk to the main tourist areas.
What could be improved: The proximity to the train station is also a downside, as a rather rough crowd assembles around there in the evening. Best to not be walking around that area after dark if you can avoid it. Also, the air conditioner in my room needed servicing, as it was quite weak.Swathi from United Kingdom – 5 May 2025 (7/10)
The location is perfect! The room is very spacious
What could be improved: It was 27degree and we were kept complaining to cool the room but the reception desk was not helping! Evrything else was fine but you be ready for some sweaty nights!Mithat from United States – 21 February 2025 (8/10)
Excellent breakfast
What could be improved: Breakfast and hygieneJames from Ireland – 3 February 2025 (8/10)
Very comfortable room and bed. Staff very nice.
What could be improved: Some people hanging out around the train stationProkopia from Greece – 2 February 2025 (7/10)
Location, big rooms.
What could be improved: The WC was in a separate room and didn't have a water basin nearby. The noise from the trains.Tavan from Iraq – 7 January 2025 (8/10)
Close to the train station and downtown, clean and cozy
What could be improved: Not really any specific things, everything was goodAna from Ireland – 6 January 2025 (8/10)
Space and bath
What could be improved: Area with prostitute
