Hooome Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Hooome feels like stepping into someone’s really well-designed apartment rather than a typical hotel lobby. I mean, the name gives it away, doesn’t it? This four-star property on Chaussée de Vleurgat has this understated elegance that immediately puts you at ease — no marble columns or intimidating chandeliers, just clean lines and that effortless European style that makes you want to kick off your shoes. The attention to detail throughout the property reflects a commitment to creating spaces that feel authentically welcoming rather than sterile or corporate.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what’s brilliant about this spot in Brussels? You’re in Ixelles, which honestly feels like the city’s best-kept secret. It’s got this perfect mix of residential charm and urban energy — tree-lined streets with actual locals going about their day, plus you’re close enough to the city center that you don’t feel cut off from anything. The couples who stay here absolutely love it, and I can see why. There’s something romantic about wandering these quieter streets after a day of sightseeing, maybe grabbing a beer at one of the neighborhood cafés that tourists haven’t discovered yet. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of authentic Brussels living.

The Room Experience

Here’s where Hooome really shines — the beds are genuinely fantastic. I’m usually skeptical when hotels boast about their mattresses, but this place actually delivers on the comfort front. The room design follows that same minimalist-but-cozy aesthetic from downstairs, with thoughtful touches that make you feel settled rather than just passing through. The space feels more like a temporary home than a hotel stay, which I suppose is exactly what they’re going for with that name. Every element has been carefully considered to enhance your comfort and sense of belonging.

Dining & Amenities

The continental breakfast setup works well — nothing too fancy, but they’ve got the essentials covered with quality ingredients. It’s served in a bright space that gets lovely morning light, and there’s something satisfying about starting your day there before heading out to explore. The kitchen facilities are thoughtfully designed for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals. Actually, the whole morning vibe at Hooome is pretty relaxed, which sets a nice tone for whatever Brussels adventure you’ve got planned.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back here is that balance between being polished and feeling genuine. You get solid four-star service and amenities without any of the stuffiness that sometimes comes with upscale hotels. The location really is the sweet spot — close enough to everything you want to see, but tucked away in a neighborhood that gives you a real taste of how Brussels actually feels to live in. Plus, honestly, after a long day of walking around the city, sinking into one of those beds feels like exactly what you need. The parking options nearby make arriving and departing convenient for those traveling by car.

    Quiet location by Louise Avenue
    Good wifi quality
Lovely breakfast served in a small room with 2-3 tables, including coffee, bread, croissant, cheese and prosciutto, butter and orange juice. Not much, but very good quality
Smooth and quick checkin by code with clear instructions communicated by email well in advance

What could be improved: No elevator, just stairs to the rooms on the upper fllor

  • Recommended: Comfortable stay with clear communication with the hosts. – Rachel from Netherlands – 24 June 2024 (10/10)

Communication with the host was great! The breakfast had many options to choose. The room was clean and tastefully decorated.

What could be improved: Just a note: you must use the stairs to reach the room.

  • Very good – Alberto from Italy – 14 June 2024 (8/10)

    the colour of the pillows

What could be improved: waffles are too expensive

  • Clean and bright room with comfy beds. – Ines from Portugal – 29 April 2024 (8/10)

Very easy access to property through coded locks, room was spacious and clean. I would not hesitate in staying in this property in the future.

  • Very good – Roman from Netherlands – 1 April 2024 (8/10)

Close to destination, clean and comfortable.

What could be improved: No fridge, was confusing how to enter.

  • Exactly like the pictures. Cozy room – Liana from Portugal – 1 April 2024 (9/10)

The bed is super comfortable. The room is big and the temperature is kept at a warm level which served me well to escape the cold from outside. The bathroom shower is quite generous in space as well. Basically the room looks exactly like in the pictures. Check-in system is simple and fast. Also, the staff was very responsive to my messages during the stay. And they made an effort to have my room available earlier — without extra charge and just because they knew I'd be arriving before check-in time.

What could be improved: It would be great for them to accept card payments to purchase breakfast. Also there were three sets of stairs to go through to get to my room (no lift). For heavy luggage carriers it can get unpleasant.

  • Exceptional – Paulo from Italy – 13 February 2024 (10/10)

The place is quite close to the city centre, it has great transport connection with buses and trams. The room was super nice, modern and big

What could be improved: There were some bad points such as no lift as this could be a problem for eldery people, also the system of codes for each door could be a barrier, not so friendly

  • Exceptional – Justina from Belgium – 27 January 2024 (10/10)

It was very easy to check in and check out, the location was great and overall we enjoyed our stay.
