Flat Moliere Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Flat Moliere on Avenue Brugmann, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical hotel. It’s tucked into a quiet residential street in Brussels‘ Forest district, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. The building has this understated elegance — nothing flashy, but you can tell it’s well-maintained. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.3 out of 10, there’s clearly something special about this spot that goes beyond just having a nice address.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Forest is one of those Brussels neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often overlook, which actually works in your favor. You’re far enough from the city center chaos to get a proper night’s sleep, but close enough that getting to Grand Place or the European Quarter doesn’t require planning an expedition. The tree-lined streets around here are perfect for morning walks, and there are some genuinely good cafés within a few blocks — the kind where you’ll hear more French and Dutch than English, which I always take as a good sign.

The Room Experience

The room setup here is what really sets this four-star property apart. These aren’t cramped hotel boxes — you get proper space to spread out, and the beds are genuinely comfortable (apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so, given their reputation for great sleep). The furnishings feel more like a well-appointed apartment than a standard hotel room, which makes sense given the name. You know what I particularly appreciated? The windows actually open properly, and the neighborhood is quiet enough that you can leave them cracked at night without being woken up by traffic.

Practical Perks

One thing that surprised me — they have private parking on site, which is honestly a godsend in Brussels. If you’ve ever tried to find street parking in this city, you’ll understand why that’s worth mentioning. The staff seems to know their stuff too, though they’re not hovering around constantly. It’s more like staying at a really nice place where people actually care that you’re comfortable, rather than just going through the motions of hospitality.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.1 rating isn’t an accident — this place just gets the fundamentals right. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or celebrity chef restaurants, but you are getting a genuinely restful stay in a part of Brussels that feels authentic rather than touristy. The location works whether you’re here for business around the European institutions or just want to explore the city without feeling like you’re camping out in the middle of a theme park. It’s the kind of place where you actually look forward to coming back to your room at the end of the day, which honestly isn’t something I can say about most hotels.

Reviews of Flat Moliere

  • Gugliandolo from Italy – 1 June 2025 (10/10)

The room has everything you need for long stays. Very clean, with a large bath and a great heating system. The height of the bathroom fixtures is good, which is not always satisfactory in tourist facilities. Great location: the streetcar stop is very close and Avenue Brugman is full of beautiful buildings. The owner is also really nice and helpful. Full marks.

What could be improved: I would only change the additional blankets that are placed in the closet, as they seem a bit small.

  • Annick from United Kingdom – 24 February 2025 (10/10)

Great location, beautiful appartment, very friendly owner and concierge, parking facilities nearby, close to shops and city center. Many thanks David!!:-)

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Wainwright from United Kingdom – 10 January 2025 (10/10)

Location was ideal; a short tram ride to the city centre. David was very helpful to answer any questions we had and the flat itself was very clean and tidy. A lovely place to stay.

  • Bianca from Romania – 11 December 2024 (10/10)

The property is well located, with all the facilities. The host was very receptive to our questions. Highly recommend it.

  • Seaddervishi from Albania – 2 December 2024 (8/10)

    Place, cleanliness, staff

What could be improved: Mini toilet separated from bathroom

  • Mikko from Finland – 22 November 2024 (10/10)

Solid good quality flat. Decorated with good taste and equipped with all essential machines, and coffee pods to save the first morning (well appreciated).
David was prompt to answer if needed and helpful.

  • Moni from Austria – 21 November 2024 (8/10)

It’s a quieter, more residential part of Brussels which was nice for a change compared to the hectic European district where I have mostly stayed. Public transport was ok once I had figured out to take bus line 60- only downside that this line was overly crowded in the mornings and evenings, and a fewer rides at night. Tram lines also stop right in front of the building.

  • Andreea from Romania – 21 October 2024 (10/10)

Very clean and well equipped flat. I’ll say is all you need for a short stay in Brussels.Easy access to city center and easy to go to / from Airport (BRU).If I’ll visit again Brussels for sure I’ll pick the same apartment.

What could be improved: Smaller than in the pics but perfect for a couple 🙌🏻
