Compact & Stylish Studios in Central Brussels Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Compact & Stylish Studios in Central Brussels, you immediately get that “I’m in the thick of it” feeling that makes city breaks so exciting. The property sits right on Boulevard Anspach — honestly, you can’t get more central than this in Brussels. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.5 out of 10, you know you’ve hit the sweet spot. The building has that understated European charm that doesn’t scream for attention but quietly says “you’ve made a smart choice.”

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally in the real heart of Brussels, which means everything worth seeing is within walking distance. The Grand Place is just a few minutes away (and trust me, seeing it lit up at night never gets old), while the shopping streets branch out in every direction from your doorstep. You know what’s actually brilliant? You can grab fresh waffles from a street vendor, pop into the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert for some window shopping, or duck into one of those tiny beer bars that locals frequent — all without needing public transport or taxis.

The Studios

The word “compact” in the name isn’t just marketing speak — these studios really do maximize every square inch, and somehow it works beautifully. Each unit feels more like a well-designed city apartment than a traditional hotel room, with clean lines and thoughtful touches that make the space feel bigger than it actually is. The kitchenette setup is genuinely useful too — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but proper facilities where you can actually prepare a simple meal if you want to save some euros or just fancy staying in with Belgian cheese and bread from the local markets.

The Four-Star Experience

What strikes me about this four-star property is how it delivers upscale comfort without any pretension. The service feels personal rather than corporate — staff actually seem to know the neighborhood and can point you toward that little chocolate shop around the corner or the best place for moules-frites that isn’t a tourist trap. The studios are impeccably maintained, with modern amenities that work properly (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case in city center properties), and there’s a refined attention to detail in everything from the lighting to the bathroom fixtures.

Why Guests Love It

Honestly, it comes down to location, location, location — but also the fact that you’re getting genuine value in one of Europe’s most expensive city centers. Couples especially seem to get it (hence that 9.5 location rating) because there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to dinner, wander the cobblestone streets after dark, and still be home in minutes. The studios give you just enough space to spread out and feel settled, even if you’re only staying a few nights. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re living in Brussels rather than just passing through — and that’s worth quite a lot when you’re trying to soak up a city’s atmosphere.

Reviews of Compact & Stylish Studios in Central Brussels

  • Marharytach from Belarus – 21 May 2025 (8/10)

Apartment is clean and very well equipped with all the main things you may require during your stay. Check-in process is perfectly organized – we've got detailed instructions on how to get into the apartment in advance before our arrival and it was extremely easy to follow them. The owner was available for the support during the whole stay and was very responsive. Nearby the apartment you can find a lot of cafes and restaurants as well as supermarkets, Central and Midi railway stations are also within the walking distance (10 and 20 mins accordingly), Grand-Place is in 5 mins walk, so location is really good.

What could be improved: Apartment is really small, I think that for more than 2 people it would not be much comfortable (as even for 2 of us it was a bit challenging, especially talking about kitchen and bed). In the bathroom you need to get used to the shower as a curtain doesn't always prevent water from leaking onto the floor.

  • Carolina from Argentina – 20 May 2025 (8/10)

La ubicación excelente, tenía todo lo necesario para pasar una excelente estadía

  • Christian from Germany – 17 May 2025 (5/10)

Very good location near Grand Place.
Good communication with host. Answered quickly.

What could be improved: Place is tiny. Couldn't shower without flooding the bathroom.
Bed (sofa bed, not a real one) is very small and uncomfortable. And very loud resident neighours on the top floor. Shouted the whole night. Couldn't sleep.

  • Rupkatha from Qatar – 11 May 2025 (8/10)

Excellent location. Very spacious for 2.

What could be improved: Bed could have been a bit bigger and better. A full size mirror would have been nice.

  • Miguel from Chile – 10 May 2025 (9/10)

Excelent location, always ready to respond your doubts. Completly sure we will stay there in our next trip.

  • Tvetkov from Moldova – 3 May 2025 (9/10)

Расположение места проживания, окна во двор, нет уличного шума

  • Mike from United States – 18 April 2025 (9/10)

The property was located near historic sites and restaurants. The little details and efforts in the the studio is evident. Will stay there again if available on my next visit.

  • Izabela from North Macedonia – 7 April 2025 (4/10)

Location and the apartment was clean.

What could be improved: I am not satisfied with the host's attitude. He decided to do a routine inspection in the middle of my stay there. I told him that I have no problem with that, but that it would be right for him to do it when the apartment is not booked.
He charged me 25 euros because I asked to enter the apartment 3 hours earlier, reminding me that if I stay after 11 at check-out he will charge another 25 euros.
The apartment's front door is old and drafty, and the bed is right next to it.
He left only one pair of towels for four days.

  • Mariana from Ireland – 21 February 2025 (6/10)

The location was excellent, with plenty of shops and a subway station nearby. It was within walking distance of the city’s main attractions, making it easy and enjoyable to explore without needing public transport. Being so close to the main square, as well as great spots for food and drinks, was a huge plus!

The apartment itself was well-equipped with everything needed for a short stay, and the shower had great water pressure—perfect after a long day of sightseeing

What could be improved: The biggest downside was the bed—as it’s a sofa bed, it wasn’t comfortable at all. Every time one person moved, the whole bed would shake, making it difficult to sleep well. I really don’t understand why a proper bed wasn’t provided, especially since most guests will likely spend their days exploring the city rather than folding up the sofa to sit and watch TV.

The shower pressure was great, but the boiler is too small, providing only about 20–25 minutes of hot water. As someone with curly hair, washing my hair takes time, and on the day I did, my husband had to wait over an hour before he could shower to ensure he’d get hot water.

On our first night, my husband showered first, and by the time it was my turn, the water started turning cold—I had to rush through and even finish with cold water. With temperatures outside close to or below 0°C, a long, hot shower after a cold day out would have been amazing, but unfortunately, we couldn't fully enjoy that comfort.

  • Mariah from United Kingdom – 8 December 2024 (9/10)

To access the studio it was self check- in, which was easy to do, the hosts stayed consistently communicating to ensure our stay was good. Any questions we had they replied as soon as possible, and any problems they fixed in the same day. One of the best features was the netflix and YouTube on the tv that was already working and easily accessed, which was great. The wifi wasn’t as strong however we had full service. It was very convenient to have access to a kettle, coffee machine, hair dryer, toaster & iron. The location was great, nearby many shops & the metro ( walking distance ).

What could be improved: Only downside was the hot water running out after certain usage & had to wait 30 minutes for it to reset & they could do with having a mirror in the bedroom ( only had one in the bathroom ).
