Comfortable room with terrace European Parliament Overview

First Impressions

When I first stepped into Comfortable room with terrace European Parliament, I’ll be honest — the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know. This three-star property on Rue de la Sablonnière isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s actually refreshing. You’re getting exactly what’s promised: a comfortable room with outdoor space in one of Brussels‘ most strategic locations. The building itself has that classic European charm you’d expect in this part of the city, though don’t expect marble lobbies or fancy chandeliers.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally in the heart of everything that matters in Brussels. The European Parliament is practically on your doorstep, which explains the name, but more importantly for most travelers, you’re walking distance from the Grand Place, the Royal Quarter, and all those amazing chocolate shops everyone raves about. I mean, you can grab breakfast and be at Manneken Pis in about ten minutes on foot. The location score of 8.2 isn’t just numbers on a screen — couples especially seem to get it, rating it even higher at 8.2 for romantic getaways.

The Room and Terrace

The accommodation itself is straightforward but genuinely comfortable. What sets this place apart is that terrace — and in a dense city like Brussels, having your own outdoor space is honestly a game-changer. You can actually sit outside with your morning coffee or evening wine without fighting for a spot at some crowded café terrace. The room has everything you need without unnecessary frills, and the setup works well whether you’re here for business (those EU meetings) or leisure. Storage is adequate, the bed is comfortable enough, and you’ve got good natural light.

Neighborhood Vibes

Rue de la Sablonnière sits in this sweet spot where you’re central but not completely overwhelmed by tourist crowds. You know what I noticed? There are actual locals living and working in this area, not just hotels and souvenir shops. You’ll find proper Belgian cafés within a block or two, and the morning routine feels authentic — people heading to work, not just tourists with cameras. The European Quarter can feel a bit sterile during off-hours, but this particular street maintains some residential character that makes it feel less institutional.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this is comfortable accommodation, and it doesn’t pretend to be anything more. What it offers is solid value in an unbeatable location with that bonus outdoor space. The 7.3 rating reflects exactly what you’d expect — guests appreciate the practicality and position more than fancy amenities. For couples exploring Brussels, the combination of central location and private terrace creates a nice balance between urban exploration and having a quiet retreat. You’re paying for location and comfort, not marble bathrooms or room service, and most people seem perfectly happy with that trade-off.

Reviews of Comfortable room with terrace European Parliament

  • Markéta from Czech Republic – 21 January 2025 (3/10)

The apartman was clean, there was a lot of utilities in the kitchen

What could be improved: There was really cold something about 18 Celsius and the home owner did not want to deal with this. The communication was terrible this person should not work in hospitality if he does not want to work with people. I was sick at the end.

  • Leanne from Ireland – 25 November 2024 (8/10)

The room amd accommodation had everything uou needed including a full kitchen (which is communal) but was very clean. The shower is in the bedroom, for a couple this would be ok but with friends etc there is a dressing divider to separate to separate it from view.
It is within a 10-15min walk to Grand Palace, a few minutes from any supermarket and cafes. The tram is close by too.

What could be improved: The toilet is outside of the room itself in the hallway. Although private, it's not ideal.
We could have done with bigger towels , there was only a handtowel and wash cloth provided.

  • Ana from Spain – 10 October 2024 (8/10)

    Bonito

  • Isabel from New Zealand – 5 October 2024 (9/10)

Great communication with host, beautiful spacious room, bed was great and location perfect.

What could be improved: Toilet a bit small, but served the purpose.

  • Jonathan from United States – 29 August 2024 (2/10)

What could be improved: Acoustics are not good. The upstairs guests were very loud and the sound went right into the room. Owner refused my request to cancel the booking after a few hours. Quite a bad experience.

  • Maksim from Turkey – 19 August 2024 (9/10)

Cozy and clean room in a historic building. Special thanks for a little chocolate for both of us as a compliment into the room

What could be improved: Separate toilet

  • Rafaela from United Arab Emirates – 26 July 2024 (8/10)

I love the location and the whole room with kitchen provided.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Joseph from United States – 19 June 2024 (1/10)

What could be improved: There was one tiny trash can in the room, after staying several days upon checkout I placed my trash adjacent in a can since in would not fit in trashcan. Several days later the hotel said I did not follow their exit policy which wasn’t posted on booking.com and use a different trashcan in a different part of the house. And said I needed to pay them extra money.

  • Kenny from United Kingdom – 26 May 2024 (8/10)

Smell was fresh. Comfortable bed. Has a TV even though o did not use it. Reasonably easy to find. It is about 15
-20 minutes walk from Brussels Central station.

What could be improved: 1) the floors are not well insulated so you can hear other guests walking around and talking upstairs very clearly. This makes it difficult to sleep especially if the guests are very heavy footed.
    2) the toilet room is very small. The sink is tiny. Very difficult to wash hands, brush teeth and wash face for example. There was no hot water in the toilet sink.

  • Linda from France – 11 February 2024 (8/10)

    Really clean and calm!
