Oudergem is one of those Brussels neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often miss — and honestly, that works in your favor. You’re far enough from the tourist crowds to feel like you’re experiencing real Belgian life, but close enough to hop on public transport and be in the city center quickly. The area has this lovely residential feel with tree-lined streets and local cafés where you’ll hear more French and Flemish than English. There’s a restaurant called Le Temps des Cerises just a few streets over that serves incredible mussels — definitely worth the walk. The neighborhood truly captures authentic Brussels charm.

  What could be improved: Steep stairs present some challenges for those with mobility issues. A handrail for the lower flight of stairs would aid safe decent. I had to go down backwards! (I’m 75)

  Really cosy house, well located and easily connected to BXL city center with metro! Calm & peaceful district! Check out flexible, we really enjoyed our stay!

  It is close to Herman Debroux metro station. The house is nice, cosy and in a calm street. You feel like at your home. The house owner had very nice communication with us.

  Lovely apartment close to tram line and close to E411 highway. Spectacular interior as host is interior designer. Netflix avaliable and lovely Garden area outside to have drinks and dinner. 2 bedrooms and bathrooms.
  
  What could be improved: Stairs are steep so need to take this into account for people with mobility resctrictions. Dishwasher not got ouside cover so need to be very careful with putting it down as it tends to flip up again
