B&B Villa 36 Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to B&B Villa 36 on Rue T’Kint, you’d honestly never guess what awaits inside from the street view. This three-star bed and breakfast sits quietly in one of Brussels‘ most coveted neighborhoods, and I mean that literally — you’re smack in the city center where locals actually want to live. The building itself has that understated Belgian charm that doesn’t scream “tourist trap,” which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience the real Brussels.

Location Magic

Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to the Grand Place in about eight minutes, but you’re tucked away from all the tourist chaos. The street feels residential, almost like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than a hotel. There’s a reason couples rate this location so highly (9.2 out of 10, actually), and it’s not just the proximity to major sights. You’ve got authentic Belgian cafés around the corner, proper bakeries where locals grab their morning bread, and you know what? The Metro connections are fantastic without being right on top of a noisy station.

The Room Experience

I’ll be honest — the room sizes aren’t massive, but they’re thoughtfully designed in that efficient European way. What really stands out is the bed situation, and guests consistently rave about this for good reason. After walking around Brussels all day (those cobblestones are no joke), you’ll appreciate how comfortable these beds actually are. The rooms have a clean, modern feel without being sterile, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The bathrooms are compact but well-appointed — everything works properly, which isn’t always a given in older Brussels buildings.

Neighborhood Gems

What makes this place special isn’t just the B&B itself — it’s being dropped into this particular corner of Brussels. You’re close enough to Sainte-Catherine that you can hit the weekend markets, but far enough from the Manneken Pis crowds that you can breathe. I mean, you’ll probably visit the famous little statue anyway, but it’s nice knowing you can escape back to a quieter street. The area has that perfect mix of local life and accessibility that’s honestly hard to find in most European city centers.

Why Guests Love It

With a 9.1 rating, this place clearly gets something right, and from what I’ve seen, it’s the combination of location, comfort, and that personal touch you get at a well-run B&B. The hosts know Brussels inside and out, so you’ll get recommendations that go beyond the typical tourist guidebook stuff. Plus, there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels more like a local experience than a corporate hotel chain. You’re paying for prime Brussels real estate without the premium price tag, and honestly, that’s exactly what most travelers actually need.

Reviews of B&B Villa 36

  • Lucy from United States – 13 May 2025 (10/10)

It was very clean. We left a mess in the room and came back to find she had straightened everything up. Everything folded and neatly put away. Breakfast was good . Served nicely in breakfast room. Convenient to Grand Place.

What could be improved: It was warm in the room. Unseasonably warm outside. Host was very sweet but quiet. We could not speak French.

  • Syed from United Kingdom – 9 April 2025 (10/10)

Great location within walking distance to town, very helpful and accomodating host. Clean and comfortable rooms. We got the keys to the rooms handed, so very convenient.

What could be improved: Signage could be better, first time I walken past without noticing the B&B.

  • Victoria from United States – 30 March 2025 (8/10)

Our hostess and proprietress, Nathalie, was gracious and informative. Her European-style breakfasts were quite tasty and the croissants were fabulous!

Our room was nicely decorated and quite comfortable. The shower was powerful.

What could be improved: Did not realize there would be as many stairs!

  • Arkadiusz from Ireland – 24 March 2025 (10/10)

    everything was very good

What could be improved: very slow wifi

  • Ann from United Kingdom – 15 March 2025 (9/10)

The host, Nathalie, gives a sense of care to the whole of the B&B so that it is a pleasure to stay. The room was large, clean and tranquil. The breakfast was thoughtful and tasty. It felt like a bit of home in Brussels.

What could be improved: It would not be a good place to stay with heavy luggage or a problem with stairs. That was not a problem for me, but the rooms are all up a couple of flights.

  • Maryanne from Malta – 14 March 2025 (8/10)

The room was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The host is charming and helpful.

What could be improved: I should have asked first – but room was up four flights of narrow stairs. Luckily luggage wasn’t too heavy. The closest metro is around 15 minutes away.

  • Beat from Switzerland – 21 February 2025 (10/10)

Nathalie is a charming host, always helpful. Attentive at breakfast, she makes you feel at home. The interior has been very tastefully decorated.

What could be improved: I hope Brussels can turn things around – it would be a shame if the gangs did any more damage to this great city.

  • Nadia from Portugal – 10 February 2025 (9/10)

Lovely and helpful host, answered all our questions quickly and prepared a great breakfast. The place is old (noisy floor when walking) but renovated with good taste and comfortable. Zara home bathroom products were great. Heating working perfectly. Good location to the city centre.

What could be improved: Don't recommend walking there from gare du midi, take a bus, metro or taxi (and be careful in every station). But from the accomodation to the city centre is quick and nice!

  • Valentina from United Kingdom – 17 December 2024 (9/10)

Location, nice breakfast and spacious and comfy room

What could be improved: Cushions are quite thin but I have seen the same in other places in Belgium. I guess this is how they like it.

  • Katherine from Spain – 9 December 2024 (10/10)

The breakfast was great, Nathalie was a lovely hostess, the rooms were cozy, it was a great location… I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
