B&B La Chambre du Zodiaque Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to B&B La Chambre du Zodiaque, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical Brussels accommodation. The three-star bed and breakfast sits quietly on Rue du Zodiaque in the Forest district, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the place — it feels like you’re staying at a friend’s well-appointed home rather than checking into another cookie-cutter hotel. The building itself has that classic Brussels character, and you can tell the owners actually care about creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Location & Neighborhood

Forest is one of those Brussels neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often overlook, which works in your favor here. You’re about 15 minutes from the city center by tram, but honestly, that distance gives you breathing room from the tourist crowds. The area has a genuine residential feel — you’ll find yourself walking past local cafés where people are speaking French and Flemish, not posing for Instagram photos. Couples seem to particularly appreciate this spot (they rate the location 8.9), and I get why. There’s something romantic about discovering a quieter side of Brussels while still having easy access to all the main attractions.

The Rooms

The rooms at B&B La Chambre du Zodiaque have personality — each one feels thoughtfully designed rather than mass-produced. You won’t find generic hotel furniture here; instead, there’s attention to detail that makes the space feel special. The beds are genuinely comfortable (which isn’t always a given at smaller properties), and the bathrooms are well-maintained. What I really appreciated was how quiet everything was — you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls or hearing every footstep in the hallway. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re efficiently laid out, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days.

Breakfast & Hospitality

This is where the B&B really shines, actually. The breakfast feels personal — not some buffet setup with stale pastries, but something the hosts clearly put thought into. You get quality Belgian bread, local cheeses, and coffee that’s actually worth drinking. The owners are genuinely helpful without being overbearing, and they seem to know Brussels well enough to give you recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. It’s the kind of place where they remember your name and how you like your coffee by the second morning.

Why Guests Love It

With an 8.8 rating, B&B La Chambre du Zodiaque clearly does something right, and I think it comes down to authenticity. You’re getting a real Brussels experience here — staying in a neighborhood where actual Belgians live, in a place that feels personal rather than corporate. The value is solid for what you get, especially considering Brussels hotel prices can be pretty steep. It’s not trying to be fancy or trendy; it’s just doing the fundamentals really well. If you want to experience Brussels like a local rather than a tourist, and you appreciate thoughtful hospitality over flashy amenities, this place makes a lot of sense.

Early hotels booking in Brussels secures guided chocolate tastings, tables at classic brasseries, and Art Nouveau house tours.

  • Morinsh from Finland – 24 October 2024 (9/10)

A charming private room with own entrance in a beautiful street. Martine was super hospitable and friendly. Room was clean, warm and cozy, well equiped with minimum required amenities for a short stay like coffee machine, a plate and cutleries. It was possible to watch Netflix in the room's TV. Even though there's a window that opens to the street, during the 4 nights of my sleep it felt very quiet.

What could be improved: Everything was good! Nothing to complain!

  • Refat from Albania – 5 October 2024 (9/10)

    The host was very responsible.
We had a conference to attend and the host managed to check in before the time .
    The area was quiet.

What could be improved: Probably it will be better if you had some kitchen equipments to use to make quick meals.
