The rooms at Apartment feel more like staying in a well-appointed city flat than a traditional hotel room, which makes sense given the name. Each space has been thoughtfully designed with modern amenities while keeping some of that old Brussels charm — think exposed brick or original architectural details mixed with contemporary furnishings. The bathrooms are properly sized (not those cramped European afterthoughts you sometimes get), and the beds are genuinely comfortable. What I really appreciated was the attention to practical details — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets, and windows that actually open so you can hear the city sounds below.

Local Neighborhood Feel

This area comes alive in the evenings when locals start heading to the nearby cafés and brasseries. You’re surrounded by some fantastic restaurants that tourists haven’t discovered yet, plus you’ve got easy access to the Sablon district if you want to browse antiques or hit up Pierre Marcolini for chocolates. The neighborhood has that lived-in quality where you’ll see the same shopkeepers every morning and start to feel like a temporary local rather than just another visitor passing through. It’s particularly nice for couples — there’s something romantic about wandering these medieval streets back to your place after dinner.

  The location is definitely the best thing about this apartment, apart from that it was clean and fairly comfortable. It also has a lift which was great for us.
  
  What could be improved: The facilities were pretty basic – there was virtually nothing in the kitchen to cook with and not even a cloth or sponge to wipe the surfaces or wash dishes. Nowhere at all in the bedrooms to put your clothes, no drawers or wardrobe and not even a bedside table so suitcase had to remain open on the floor. No lamps in the bedroom either. There was one small wardrobe in the living room – odd when there's plenty of room in each of the bedrooms. When we arrived, there was no bulb in the toilet so we were told to keep the door open – not ideal. They did put a bulb in the next day but wanted us to wait in the apartment until they called us to bring the bulb round, which we refused to do.
