Forest — or Vorst if you’re speaking Dutch — isn’t the touristy center of Brussels, but that’s actually what makes it special. You’re about 15 minutes by tram from the Grand Place, but you get to experience how locals actually live. There’s a great morning market just a few streets over on Thursdays, and the neighborhood has this relaxed, residential feel that I really appreciated after busy days of sightseeing. Plus, having free parking right on site is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving — try finding that in central Brussels for under €30 a day.

Practical Comforts

The little details here really add up. The Wi-Fi actually works well (I was working remotely for part of my stay), and the apartment stays surprisingly quiet despite being on a fairly busy street. The bathroom has this modern, clean design with a proper shower that doesn’t flood the entire floor — you’d be amazed how rare that is in some European accommodations. I also loved that there’s a small balcony where you can have your morning coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up.

  Every thing was perfect , I like the bathroom was very big , the owner was very friendly and provided us with all requirements l would like to come back

  Large property with just about everything provided.
  Really clean and comfy.
  Host was really good who took time to help you settle in and also set up a Christmas tree which was really cool
  Shops only around corner and would recommend Proxy rather than go Lidl.
  Nice park to stroll around and the train station Midi is only 15-20 minute walk.

  What could be improved: The tv hardly had any English channels.
  There was a strange smell which we think is cat wee. We could smell now and again.

  Hugues is an excellent host, easy communication, really accomodating, the apartment is well equipped, it has everything you need, large and spacious, comfortable, quickly design, cool vibe, near supermarket and public transport, garden is a nice benefit
